(include but not limited to) 1. Assessment and Diagnosis Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ communication and swallowing disorders using a range of standardized and informal tools. Accurately diagnose speech and language difficulties. 2. Individualized Therapy Planning Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) with measurable goals and evidence-based strategies tailored to each student’s needs. 3. Direct Therapy and Intervention Provide therapy sessions both individually and in small groups, using appropriate and engaging techniques to address articulation, fluency, voice, language, and social communication skills. 4. Collaboration and Consultation Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students’ communication development. Offer guidance and strategies to support learning both in school and at home. 5. Documentation and Reporting Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress, therapy sessions, and parent communication. Prepare detailed reports and ensure compliance with school and regulatory requirements. 6. Professional Development and Program Support Participate in ongoing professional development to stay updated with best practices. Contribute to school-wide initiatives that promote communication and language development.
