R&D Executive (Nutraceuticals)

We are looking for an R&D Executive – Nutraceuticals with strong hands-on industry experience in developing FSSAI-compliant formulations across multiple product categories. This role is not limited to a single segment. The candidate should be comfortable working across: Protein powders Sports nutrition products Vitamins & mineral blends Functional nutraceutical formulations Ayush Aahar products Wellness shots (liquid formats) Plant-based and herbal nutraceuticals The role requires a professional who can combine technical formulation expertise with techno-commercial understanding to develop scalable, market-ready products. # Key Responsibilities # Product Development & Formulation Develop and optimize nutraceutical formulations as per FSSAI guidelines Work across multiple formats including: Powders (protein, blends) Capsules / tablets Liquids and wellness shots Herbal nutraceutical combinations Ensure formulations are: Stable Effective Cost-efficient Commercially viable # Techno-Commercial Understanding Design formulations considering: Ingredient costing Target market positioning Pricing feasibility Consumer usability Work closely with sales, costing, and production teams to ensure real-world viability # Regulatory & Compliance Ensure compliance with FSSAI regulations and Ayush Aahar guidelines Work on ingredient approvals, permissible limits, and label claims Support documentation required for regulatory approvals # Raw Material & Ingredient Expertise Plant-based actives Herbal extracts Proteins and amino acids Vitamins and minerals Evaluate ingredient quality and coordinate with procurement for sourcing # R&D Execution Conduct trials, validations, and scale-up processes Work closely with production and QA/QC teams Maintain formulation records and documentation # Innovation & Market Alignment Nutraceuticals Plant-based supplements Functional beverages and wellness shots Suggest new product ideas aligned with global and Indian markets # Mandatory Requirements (Non-Negotiable) Hands-on industry experience in nutraceutical formulation (mandatory) Strong understanding of FSSAI regulations and Ayush Aahar category Experience working with plant-based formulations and supplements Exposure to real manufacturing environments Ability to develop commercially viable formulations # Educational Qualification Relevant backgrounds include: Food Technology Nutrition / Dietetics Biotechnology Chemistry Pharmacy (B.Pharma / M.Pharma) Any relevant nutraceutical or food science field # Experience 2–6 years of relevant industry experience (mandatory) Nutraceutical companies Supplement manufacturing Contract manufacturing setups # Key Skills Nutraceutical formulation expertise Strong ingredient knowledge Techno-commercial thinking Regulatory understanding (FSSAI) Ability to develop market-ready products # Preferred Profile Candidates who have worked on: Plant-based nutraceuticals Protein powders and supplements Wellness shots / liquid nutraceutical formats Multiple product categories # Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate should: Have hands-on industry exposure (not academic-only) Understand both formulation science and commercial practicality Be comfortable working across multiple product formats Be execution-focused and detail-oriented Be willing to grow long-term with ASLI AYURVEDA # Compensation Competitive salary based on experience Strong long-term growth opportunity
