Job description
About the Role
We're looking for an Associate Product Manager to drive Recruit's product strategy and roadmap. You'll own core ATS features, define how AI enhances recruiter workflows, and work with engineering, design, and applied AI teams to ship capabilities that improve hiring outcomes.
This is a hands-on role where you'll define product priorities, gather recruiter feedback, write clear requirements, and own delivery from discovery through launch. You'll balance foundational ATS improvements with emerging AI capabilities—shipping both with equal rigor.
This role demands strong product instincts, hands-on experience shipping features, and comfort working with AI/LLM capabilities as part of the product toolkit.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Ownership
Own the Recruit product roadmap—prioritizing features based on recruiter needs and business impact
Write clear PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria grounded in user research and feedback
Partner with engineering and design to translate requirements into shipped features
Identify where AI can enhance recruiter workflows; evaluate opportunities based on impact, feasibility, and business value
Gather and synthesize customer feedback; measure outcomes post-launch and iterate
AI Strategy & Opportunities
Lead discovery of high-impact AI use cases by understanding recruiter pain points and workflow gaps
Define the product vision for how AI and automation reshape recruiter workflows over time
Establish a prioritization framework for AI opportunities—balancing recruiter impact, technical feasibility, and ROI
Partner with applied AI/ML teams on feature design, evaluation, and validation
Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to understand recruiter problems and communicate roadmap
Collaborate with applied AI/ML teams to scope capabilities, define success metrics, and validate AI features
Conduct user research and workflow analysis to identify high-impact opportunities
Present roadmap priorities and trade-offs to stakeholders; defend decisions with data
Execution & Accountability
Define KPIs and success metrics for every initiative—adoption, feature usage, recruiter satisfaction, business impact
Drive sprint planning and backlog grooming with engineering
Ensure on-time, quality delivery of roadmap commitments
Own end-to-end delivery and learning from launches
Must Have
2–4 years of Product Management experience, with hands-on involvement in shipping features
Experience using LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) to augment PM workflows—drafting, research, analysis, synthesis
Proven ability to ship features through cross-functional collaboration with engineering and design
Strong communication and collaboration skills —comfortable gathering customer feedback, writing clear requirements, and presenting to stakeholders
Comfortable with product tools —Jira, Confluence, Figma, or similar
Solid Agile/Scrum experience working in cross-functional teams
Understanding of AI product realities —accuracy concerns, user trust, evaluation, grounding sources
Ability to learn quickly and dive deep into new domains
Good to Have
Experience in recruiting, HR tech, or similar SaaS domains
Familiarity with competitive positioning or emerging tech categories
Exposure to responsible AI practices or bias detection
Hands-on exposure to AI recruitment tools or competitive AI capabilities
What Success Looks Like (12 Months)
Ship 3–4 high-quality features or initiatives with clear business value—mix of core ATS and AI capabilities
Develop a prioritized roadmap with stakeholder alignment and leadership buy-in
Own end-to-end delivery —from discovery through launch, measurement, and learning
Build strong relationships with engineering, design, applied AI teams, sales, and customer-facing teams
Establish a repeatable process for product discovery, requirements, and validation
Define and track metrics that demonstrate product impact on recruiters and business
Demonstrate product judgment —make trade-offs confidently and defend decisions with data
