Contribution to School Inclusion Initiatives: Actively contribute to school-wide inclusion programmes, awareness initiatives, and events that promote diversity, equity, and acceptance. Inclusive Classroom Teaching: Plan and lead full-class instruction using differentiated methods to address diverse learner needs while maintaining academic rigor. Advocacy and Inclusion: Promote a culture of inclusion, empathy, and respect. Support the integration of students with special needs into all aspects of school life. Individualized Planning and Instruction: Adapt curriculum content, teaching strategies, and assessment methods to accommodate varied learning styles, abilities, and needs, including modifications and accommodations as outlined in IEPs. Social-Emotional Support: Support students’ emotional well-being and social development through structured interventions, counselling support, and social skills programmes. Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Conduct formal and informal assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Maintain detailed records and progress reports. Transition Planning: Assist students in transitions between grades, programmes, or learning environments by planning appropriate academic and emotional support strategies. Classroom Management: Foster a structured and positive learning environment using proactive behaviour strategies. Implement behaviour intervention plans (BIPs) as required. Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with general educators, therapists, parents, and counsellors to support student learning. Participate in parent meetings, case reviews, and team planning. Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all documentation related to IEPs, assessments, accommodations, and interventions is maintained accurately and in compliance with school policies and regulatory requirements. Parent Communication: Maintain regular, constructive communication with parents regarding student progress, challenges, and strategies for reinforcement at home. Safeguarding and Student Welfare: Ensure student safety and well-being by adhering to safeguarding policies and promptly reporting concerns related to student welfare. Professional Development: Participate in regular training and workshops to stay updated on best practices in special education, inclusive pedagogy, and classroom technology. Reflection and Continuous Improvement: Engage in reflective teaching practices to evaluate effectiveness and continuously improve instructional strategies to better support student learning
