Job description
Trading & Client Strategy
Execute trades across RTM, DAM, TAM, G-DAM, G-TAM, and REC/ESCERT segments on IEX, PXIL, and HPX
Manage both buy-side (consumer procurement) and sell-side (generator monetization) strategies
Monitor Market Clearing Price (MCP) movements in real time and adjust bidding strategy accordingly
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on trading decisions, forecasts, and execution updates
Partner with the strategy team to build and refine buy/sell optimization models
Regulatory & Exchange Coordination
Ensure trading activity stays compliant with CERC/SERC regulations and exchange norms
Represent the company at exchange forums and regulatory hearings
Coordinate daily operations with RLDC/NLDC/SLDC and internal teams (Legal, Finance, Commercial, Scheduling)
Track regulatory developments that could affect trading strategy or compliance
Settlement & Reporting
Oversee post-trade settlement and ensure timely payments to exchanges
Share reconciliation statements with clients, RLDC/SLDC, and exchanges on a regular cadence
Prepare trade execution summaries for clients and audit reports for internal review
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field
Deep knowledge of India's power market — conventional, renewable, and exchange-based trading
Hands-on expertise in exchange mechanisms, bidding strategy, and price formation
Strong grasp of CERC/SERC regulations and exchange norms
Sharp, fast decision-making under time pressure
Excellent client-facing communication and cross-team coordination skills
Comfort with trading platforms, data analytics tools, and MS Office
Nice to Have
Experience trading renewable energy portfolios
Exposure to multi-state operations across different exchange segments
