Job DESCRIPTION Job Title Assistant – Programme Implementation (School Facilitator) Grade I Department Program &Policy Reporting to Project Lead Location Khed Block in Pune district Maharashtra Contract duration 6 Months About Bal Raksha Bharat Bal Raksha Bharat (also known as Save the Children) is India's leading independent child rights organisation. ROLE PURPOSE BRB is going to implement the “ SPACES4IMPACT: Enabling Better Health and Learning Outcomes Project” to Enhance learning environments in Schools by providing essential infrastructure and equipment including functional classrooms, teaching-learning materials, sports kits, and electrical fittings to support improved classroom participation and learning conditions. The School Facilitator will support the implementation of school-based interventions aimed at improving children's learning, wellbeing, participation, digital safety, and school environment through close coordination with schools, teachers, School Management Committees (SMCs), and children. The Social Worker is responsible for the implementation of the project activities on the ground at the Khed Pune location. He will support the project lead to conduct the all project activities. SCOPE OF ROLE Reports to: Project Lead Staff reporting to this post: No Budget Responsibilities: No Role Dimensions : Coordinate implementation of all school-based project activities in assigned schools. Facilitate establishment and effective use of Smart Classrooms, STEM Labs, libraries, and teaching-learning materials. Provide continuous mentoring and handholding support to teachers on classroom practices and digital learning. Organize teacher orientations, School Management Committee meetings, and capacity-building sessions. Conduct awareness sessions on cyber safety, child rights, WASH, nutrition, personal safety, and life skills. Facilitate formation and strengthening of Children's Groups and support child-led initiatives. Coordinate school enrolment and retention campaigns and promote inclusive education. Maintain project records, beneficiary data, activity reports, and documentation. Liaise regularly with school authorities, education officials, and community stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation · Support to design the course and contextualise existing materials on online cyber security to meet the learning needs of children, parents, teachers and SMC members. · Impart training to different stakeholders and integrate technologies in the learning process. · Support for quality reports of training programs and ensure documentation of all the activities and send it to Project Lead Bal Raksha Bharat (Bal Raksha Bharat, India) for its timely submission. · Support the Project Lead at the State Level in designing pre and post training assessment tool, maintain MIS and reports of training. · Support the Project Lead at the State Level in finalising content for IEC and awareness on online cyber security. · Provide technical inputs and help in strengthening the advocacy initiative with relevant stakeholders. · Undertaken appropriate additional responsibilities as assign by the line manager. · Support to timely submission of all MIS related information and data to line manager and KM Any other work assigned by Project Manager or by PIU_ Head Context: Development KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY Be proactive Set clear expectations Accept criticism Communicate effectively Willingness to learn Sincerity BEHAVIOURS (Values in Practice ) Positive Attitude and high energy. Graduate/Post-graduate degree in social sciences/Education diploma/ public health/ statistics or related discipline from a recognized university or college is essential; EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS · Working experience at similar level for at least 2-4 years. · >2 years in Education and community development area. Working experience in Education or the social sector would be an asset KEY COMPETENCIES · Good understanding of NGO and other sectors' involvement, understanding and capacities on child protection programming in the state. · Knowledge on RTE, Child rights, Education Strategy in Rural Maharashtra Teaching & Learning Methodology in Primary Schools & community level in Pune (Maharashtra) · Ability to plan and think strategically. · Excellent co-ordination and motivation skills · Demonstrable commitment to working with the school and community · Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a multiple-line management environment. · Excellent coordination and motivation skills · Demonstrable commitment to quality of child safeguarding programming · Good analytical skills · Experience in report writing · Excellent command on English and Hindi, Marathi · Computer literate (word processing, spreadsheet, email) · Willingness to travel extensively in the state and outside as well, if required Additional job responsibilities The duties and responsibilities as set out above are not exhaustive and the role holder may be required to carry out additional duties within reasonableness of their level of skills and experience. CHILD SAFEGUARDING (Strike out whichever is not applicable) Level 1: The role holder will not have contact with children and/or young people, or access to personal data about children or young people, as part of their work; therefore a police check will not be mandatory unless the content or location of the role changes, in which case the Child Safeguarding level will be reviewed. Level 2: Either the role holder will have access to personal data about children and/or young people as part of their work; or they will be working in a ‘regulated’ position (Finance, Monitoring & Evaluation, Legal etc.); therefore a police check will be required . Level 3: The role holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work in programs; or are visiting programs; therefore a police check will be required .
