We are working towards three breakthroughs in how the world treats children by 2030: · No child dies from preventable causes before their fifth birthday · All children learn from a quality basic education and · Violence against children is no longer tolerated We run programmes in the remotest corners of India and urban areas in the areas of Health & Nutrition, Education, Child Protection and Livelihood & Economic Wellbeing in order to facilitate quality education, healthcare and protection from harm and abuse and life-saving aid during emergencies to children. ROLE PURPOSE To strengthen STEM education and digital learning in project schools through effective utilization of STEM Labs, SMART Classrooms, teacher mentoring, student engagement, and experiential learning activities. SCOPE OF ROLE The Facilitator will be responsible for overall coordination, execution, and monitoring of the Toyota Mobile Computer Education Van project in Surat district. The role involves day-to-day project management , liaison with government stakeholders, oversight of mobile lab operations, and ensuring quality delivery of computer education in line with Toyota CSR objectives, approved plans, and donor requirements. The Facilitator will act as the single point of contact for field implementation, reporting, and compliance throughout the project period. KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY 1. STEM Education Implementation Conduct STEM learning sessions and hands-on activities for students. Facilitate effective utilization of STEM Labs and related equipment. Promote innovation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills among students. 2. SMART Classroom Management Support teachers in integrating SMART classroom content into teaching-learning processes. Ensure effective utilization and maintenance of ICT-enabled learning resources. Facilitate digital and interactive learning sessions. 3. Teacher Capacity Building Train and mentor teachers on STEM tools, experiential learning, and SMART classroom methodologies. Provide ongoing technical support and classroom handholding. 4. Student Leadership & Engagement Establish and strengthen Children's Groups/STEM Clubs. Support students in organizing STEM events, competitions, and innovation challenges. 5. School Events & Community Engagement Coordinate annual STEM exhibitions and awareness activities. Engage parents, SMCs, and stakeholders in promoting STEM education. 6. Monitoring & Reporting Track student participation and learning outcomes. Maintain activity records, inventories, and monthly progress reports. Document success stories, best practices, and lessons learned. 7. Coordination & Partnership Coordinate with school authorities, teachers, project staff, and external partners for smooth implementation. Bachelor's/Master's degree in Science, Engineering, Computer Applications, Education, or related field. · Experience working with government preferred EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Minimum 3 years of experience in STEM education, ICT education, robotics, coding, or school-based learning programs. CHILD SAFEGUARDING (Strike out whichever is not applicable) Level 1: The role holder will not have contact with children and/or young people, or access to personal data about children or young people, as part of their work; therefore a police check will not be mandatory unless the content or location of the role changes, in which case the Child Safeguarding level will be reviewed. Level 2: Either the role holder will have access to personal data about children and/or young people as part of their work; or they will be working in a ‘regulated’ position (Finance, Monitoring & Evaluation, Legal etc.); therefore a police check will be required . Level 3: The role holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work in programs; or are visiting programs; therefore a police check will be required .
