Job description

Founder's Office Associate Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra (on-site) Department: Founder's Office / Office of the Managing Director Reports to: Managing Director Employment Type: Full-time About Kores India Kores India Limited is one of India's most enduring business houses. Founded in 1932, the company has grown into a diversified manufacturing group with businesses spanning Office Products & Stationery, Engineering, Foundry, Pharmaceuticals, Business Automation, and International Trade. Generations of Indians have grown up with Kores products — in classrooms, offices, and factories across the country. Today, Kores is launching new consumer brands, commissioning new manufacturing facilities, expanding into international markets, and rebuilding itself as a professionally managed, AI-enabled institution. Artificial intelligence is being embedded across the organisation — from manufacturing operations to management decision-making. About the Role The Founder's Office Associate works directly with the Managing Director as a trusted execution partner on the group's highest-priority initiatives. This is a high-visibility, high-ownership role that cuts across all divisions of the company. The Associate will move fluidly between strategy and execution — a brand launch one week, a plant-level operational review the next, and a board presentation the week after. This role is designed for a future business leader. The right candidate will treat it as an apprenticeship in running a diversified enterprise, with direct mentorship from the Managing Director and exposure to senior leadership across the group. Key Responsibilities Drive strategic and cross-functional projects across divisions, from initiation through to measurable outcomes Prepare decision papers, business analyses, financial reviews, and board-level presentation material Support the Managing Director's governance agenda, including management committee processes, delegation frameworks, and performance review systems Champion the adoption of AI tools and workflows across the organisation, and apply them daily in research, analysis, and document preparation Act as an extension of the Managing Director's office in coordinating with divisional heads and functional leaders Track execution of key decisions and ensure follow-through across the group Requirements Candidate Profile 2–5 years of professional experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, business operations, or a high-growth startup environment Demonstrated fluency with AI tools (such as Claude or ChatGPT) as everyday working instruments for analysis, writing, and problem-solving — candidates should be prepared to discuss concrete examples of work they have accelerated or built with AI Exceptional analytical and written communication skills; the ability to convert ambiguous problems into structured documents and clear recommendations High ownership, discretion, and low ego; comfortable operating with pace and ambiguity across very different business contexts MBA or equivalent qualification preferred but not mandatory Based in Mumbai or willing to relocate What We Offer Direct, daily access to the Managing Director and the senior leadership of a multi-division manufacturing group Disproportionate responsibility early: real ownership of outcomes, not observer status A front-row role in the AI and professionalisation transformation of a 90-plus-year-old institution Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
