Commis 1 - Bakery

We're looking for a detail-oriented and organized Commis 1 - Bakery to join our culinary team in Kochi, India. In this entry-level kitchen position, you will work alongside experienced bakers to support the daily production of high-quality baked goods. Prepare baking ingredients by measuring, mixing, and organizing components according to established recipes and procedures

Assist in the production of various baked goods including breads, pastries, cakes, and other bakery items

Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards

Follow recipes precisely and execute baking techniques under the guidance of senior bakers

Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure products meet quality specifications

Assist with portioning, packaging, and labeling finished baked goods

Support inventory management by tracking ingredient usage and reporting stock levels

Collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily production targets and deadlines

Perform general kitchen duties including cleaning equipment, sanitizing surfaces, and maintaining workspace organization

Respond to feedback from supervisors and continuously improve baking techniques and efficiency

Basic knowledge of baking techniques and fundamental baking principles

Understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards

Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks

Strong teamwork and communication abilities

Ability to follow instructions precisely and work collaboratively with senior staff
