Job Title:

Manager – Finance Automation Lead (Infor CSF)

Line of Service:

Managed Services

Industry/Sector:

Healthcare

Specialism:

Finance Technology – Process Automation & Optimization

Management Level

Manager

& Summary

A career within PwC Managed Services will provide you with the opportunity to lead finance automation and process optimization initiatives at scale, enabling clients to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, accelerate financial close, and enhance operational efficiency across enterprise financial systems.

As a Manager, you will lead the Finance Automation function within the managed services delivery team supporting Bassett Health, a US-based healthcare system. You will own the end-to-end automation lifecycle—from opportunity identification and business case development through design, build, test, deploy, and post-deployment governance—across the Infor CloudSuite Financials (CSF) ecosystem. Your scope will include Infor IPA (Intelligent Process Automation), Infor ION workflow automation, RPA and scripting solutions, financial close automation, reporting/analytics automation, and finance process optimization across AP, AR, GL, FA, Projects, Grants, and Close Management.

This is a Managed Services engagement (not implementation or consulting). The role is a critical value driver for the engagement—automation directly contributes to PwC's ability to deliver services more efficiently, demonstrate continuous improvement to the client, and improve client satisfaction and outcomes. You will bridge the gap between finance process expertise and automation/technology enablement, ensuring that automation solutions maintain financial controls, compliance, and audit readiness while delivering measurable operational benefits.

You will work from PwC's India Acceleration Center (India AC), supporting US business hours/shifts as required, and will partner with onshore delivery teams and client stakeholders across Finance, HR/Payroll, IT, EHR, and banking teams. You will also lead and develop a team of associates/senior associates focused on automation delivery and operations.

Note to Hiring/TA team:

This is a finance automation leadership role—not a generic RPA developer role and not a pure finance operations role. The ideal candidate combines deep finance domain knowledge (understanding what should be automated and why) with hands-on automation/technology skills (knowing how to design, build, and govern automation solutions). Manager-level ownership, stakeholder engagement, strategic thinking, and measurable outcomes delivery are essential.

Responsibilities

As a Manager, you'll lead a team of problem solvers helping clients transform finance operations through automation and process optimization. Specific responsibilities include:

Automation Strategy, Roadmap & Pipeline Management

Own the finance automation roadmap and pipeline for the engagement—identifying, prioritizing, and sequencing automation opportunities across all finance sub-functions (AP, AR, GL, FA, Projects, Grants, Close)

Conduct current-state process analysis to identify automation candidates—mapping manual touchpoints, quantifying effort/frequency, assessing error rates, and evaluating automation feasibility

Build automation business cases—quantifying effort savings, estimating ROI, projecting error reduction and cycle time improvement, and prioritizing based on impact, feasibility, and control implications

Maintain a structured automation backlog/pipeline with clear status tracking (ideation → approved → in-progress → deployed → monitored)

Identify quick wins during transition from incumbent vendor—embedding automation into the steady-state operating model from the outset

Infor IPA (Intelligent Process Automation) Design & Delivery

Design and manage automated process flows within Infor IPA for finance operations:

AP automation:

Invoice capture/routing, multi-level approval workflows, three-way match exception handling, payment approval triggers

GL automation:

Recurring journal entry generation, template-based journal posting, allocation triggers, intercompany transaction automation

Close task orchestration:

Sequential/parallel close task triggering, milestone notifications, escalation workflows, auto-assignment of close tasks

Notification & alert workflows:

Threshold breach alerts, aging alerts, compliance reminders, SLA warning notifications

Exception handling automation:

Auto-routing of errors, retry logic, fallback notifications, exception queuing for human review

Oversee build, test, and deployment of IPA process flows with proper testing discipline, user acceptance, and controlled go-live procedures

Event-driven data routing across Infor CSF modules and external systems

Cross-system coordination triggers (e.g., payroll GL posting confirmation → close task update, bank file delivery confirmation → reconciliation trigger)

Design and maintain ION-based alerting and monitoring workflows that proactively flag anomalies, integration failures, and process delays

Data extraction and transformation for reconciliations

Reconciliation preparation and pre-matching automation

Automated report generation and distribution

File processing automation (bank files, vendor files, EHR feeds)

Data validation and exception flagging scripts

Lead RPA bot design, development, testing, and deployment—ensuring bots are robust, maintainable, and documented

Establish bot monitoring and health management practices—tracking execution success rates, handling failures, and scheduling maintenance

Financial Close Automation

Automate financial close tasks to reduce close cycle time and manual effort:

Close calendar orchestration—automated task sequencing, deadline tracking, and status updates

Reconciliation triggers—auto-initiation of reconciliation workflows upon sub-ledger close

Journal auto-posting—automated posting of standard/recurring close journals with validation checks

Close status dashboards—real-time visibility into close task completion, blockers, and milestone progress

Close checklist automation—automated pre-close/post-close validation checks

Partner with Close Management and GL teams to ensure automation aligns with close controls and audit requirements

Reporting & Analytics Automation

Automate finance operational reports, KPI dashboards, and SLA tracking reports using Infor Birst, Power BI, or similar tools:

Automated daily/weekly/monthly operational reports (ticket volumes, aging, backlog, SLA performance)

Financial data quality and exception reports (unreconciled items, suspense account balances, aging open items)

Close progress dashboards and milestone reporting

Automation impact reports (effort saved, error reduction, cycle time trends)

Reduce manual report preparation effort and improve report timeliness and consistency

Finance Process Optimization

Analyze current-state finance processes across AP, AR, GL, FA, Projects, Grants, and Close to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and manual bottlenecks

Design optimized process flows that combine automation with process simplification—eliminating unnecessary steps before automating remaining ones

Leverage healthcare-specific automation opportunities:

Grant billing automation and compliance-driven workflow triggers

Charge/revenue feed validation from EHR systems

Multi-entity close orchestration across Bassett Health's organizational structure

Compliance-driven approval and notification workflows

Document optimized processes and ensure alignment with client policies and financial controls

Audit trails and logging for automated transactions (journal postings, approvals, data changes)

Role-based access controls for automation tools and bot credentials

Version control and change management for automation assets (IPA flows, RPA bots, scripts)
