We run programmes in the remotest corners of India and urban areas in the areas of Health & Nutrition, Education, Child Protection and Livelihood & Economic Wellbeing in order to facilitate quality education, healthcare and protection from harm and abuse and life-saving aid during emergencies to children.

ROLE PURPOSE

The Community Mobiliser will be responsible for conducting regular community visits and mobilizing children for enrolment in the MultiActivity Centre (MAC). S/he will also mobilse and motivate women and caregivers to participate in activities and sessions conducted at the MAC.

The Community Mobiliser will lead community outreach and awareness generation activities under the project to promote education, child protection, health, nutrition, and other relevant themes. In addition, S/he will be responsible for delivering Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) services to children in the 3–6 years age group through age-appropriate learning and developmental activities.

The role also involves establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with key community stakeholders, including schools, Anganwadi Centres (AWCs), parents/caregivers, community leaders, and local institutions, to ensure effective implementation of project activities and sustained community participation.

Key Deliverables:

Identify, mobilize, and enroll children (aged 3–14 years) into the Multi-Activity Centre (MAC).

Conduct regular household and community visits to identify out-of-school, at-risk, and vulnerable children and facilitate their enrollment in the MAC and formal education system.

Ensure the safety and well-being of children while they are commuting to and from the MAC.

Mobilize parents, caregivers, women, and community members to actively participate in project activities, awareness sessions, and community events.

Deliver age-appropriate Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) activities for children in the 3–6 years age group.

Organize and facilitate awareness-generation activities on education, child rights, health, nutrition, sanitation, government entitlements, and other relevant themes.

Assist families in accessing essential government services and securing key documents such as Aadhaar Cards, Birth Certificates, Ration Cards, and other relevant identity and entitlement documents.

Organize regular meetings and sessions with parents/caregivers to raise awareness about the Right to Education (RTE), school enrollment procedures, ICDS services, and other child welfare schemes.

Mobilize and facilitate the participation of community stakeholders during planning meetings, workshops, campaigns, and project-related events.

Establish and maintain effective relationships with schools, Anganwadi Centres (AWCs), community leaders, local authorities, and other stakeholders to support project implementation.

Identify potential local partners and facilitate collaboration for the effective implementation of project activities.

Support the collection, documentation, and reporting of impact stories, case studies, and success stories on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Document periodic progress, community engagement activities, case studies, and best practices from the assigned area and share them with the Line Manager.

Ensure timely collection, compilation, and submission of MIS-related information and project data.

Prepare and submit monthly work plans and progress reports to the Line Manager.

Achieve the mobilization and community engagement targets assigned under the project.

Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Line Manager from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• 12th /Graduate in any discipline work from a recognized university or college is essential
• 1-2 years of experience of community mobilisation in relevant sector
