About the role
You’ll support two things: keeping shipped modules improving, and giving our new planning and optimization work a strong research base. You’ll do UI design and iterations, and you’ll turn messy research into short, clear outputs that people on the team will actually read.
What you’ll do
Design and iterate on screens for live modules (tables, filters, drawers, forms, detail pages, states and edge cases) in Figma
Work from our design system, so every screen uses existing components, tokens, and spacing
Run desk research on logistics, fleet and freight workflows, regulations, and competing products
Synthesize research into concise outputs: one-page briefs, competitor teardowns, insight summaries, and “so what for design” notes
Help prepare and run user interviews and usability sessions with dispatchers, fleet managers, and ops teams (scheduling, note-taking, synthesis)
Review shipped screens and flag inconsistencies, unmapped styles, or gaps against the design system
Write clear UI copy (labels, empty states, error messages, modal text) with consistent terminology
Document your work in Notion so it’s easy for Sales, CS, and engineering to follow
What success looks like
You can take a small change from brief to a hand-off-ready Figma screen with minimal rework
Your research outputs are short, sourced, and decision-ready, and someone can act on them in a five-minute read
Design-system hygiene improves on the screens you touch
Who we’re looking for
Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in design, HCI, architecture, psychology, engineering, or a related field (students preferred; recent graduates welcome)
Working knowledge of Figma (auto layout, components, variables)
A portfolio, or class or personal projects, showing UI work and some research or problem-solving process
Strong written communication, with the ability to cut a long source down to what matters
Curiosity about complex, data-heavy products, and comfort asking questions when a domain is new
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage several small tasks at once
Nice to have
Basic interview and synthesis skills (affinity mapping, thematic analysis)
Familiarity with Notion, Miro, and AI tools for research and summarizing
Interest in logistics, supply chain, or operations
Basic HTML/CSS understanding
Terms
Internship only (not a full-time position)
Duration: 3–6 months, flexible with your academic calendar and availability
Hours: Full Time
Mode and location: On-site, Bengaluru
How to apply
Apply with your portfolio link (or 2-3 best projects), a short note on why you’re interested, and your availability dates. Optional: one example of research or content you made more concise.
