Position Details Position: Procurement Engineer Job Title: Procurement Engineer Location: Pune Roles & Responsibilities 1. Vendor & Procurement Management Obtain quotations from vendors as per the Bill of Materials (BOM). Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors. Manage existing vendors and develop new vendor relationships. Coordinate with vendors, the Accounts Department, and the Project Team to ensure smooth procurement operations. 2. Order & Material Handling Generate purchase orders and procure materials from vendors as per project requirements. Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials. Coordinate the delivery of materials to project sites. Maintain and manage inventory records effectively. Technical & Managerial Skill Sets Required Qualification BCom / BCS / MCS / Diploma / Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Electronics. Technical Skills Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel. Experience with ERP/procurement software such as Tally or Zoho. Good understanding of procurement processes and documentation. Soft Skills Good presence of mind and problem-solving ability. Strong negotiation skills. Good communication skills in English – both verbal and written. Ability to work effectively as part of a team of at least five members. Appreciation and understanding of standards, processes, and compliance. Experience Experience in the automation industry will be preferred. Candidates with relevant procurement/purchase experience will be considered. Other Requirements Willingness to travel as required for business and project activities.
