Job description

Mechanical Design Engineer · Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 4+ years of experience in product design and development using Creo CAD and PLM tools. · Hands-on experience in Electrical Harness Routing and Wiring Harness Design using Creo Cabling and Creo Schematics/Diagram, preferably in the heavy equipment industry. · Strong expertise in Creo Mechanical Design, including Part Modeling, Assembly Design, Sheet Metal Design, Groups, Arrangements, and basic knowledge of GD&T. · Proficient in creating highly integrated machine platform designs, performing harness routing, preparing layout and illustration drawings, and validating harness design standards. · Good understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and circuit diagrams, along with knowledge of harness components such as wires, connectors, relays, fuses, controllers, coverings, and support clips. · Experience in design evaluation and comparison studies to assess clearances, optimize packaging, and finalize engineering solutions while supporting Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) initiatives. · Familiarity with Engineering Change Management, including creation and release of Change Notices (CNs) in Teamcenter, and prior exposure to NPI (New Product Introduction) processes. · Strong customer-facing, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across multiple harness development tools and deliver effective engineering solutions. Basic Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of relevant engineering experience. · Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Creo CAD software and PLM systems (preferably Teamcenter). · Working knowledge of the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, including product development, design release, and change management activities.
