Cyient, Inc. is seeking a skilled Piping Stress Engineer specializing in Glass Reinforced Epoxy (GRE) piping systems to join our team. This role involves performing stress analysis and design of GRE piping for various industrial projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. Job Responsibilities:** * Perform detailed static and dynamic stress analysis for GRE piping systems using industry-standard software (e.g., CAESAR II). * Design and optimize GRE piping supports, anchors, and restraints, considering thermal expansion, weight, pressure, and external loads. * Develop piping stress analysis reports, including stress isometric drawings, support load lists, and spring hanger data sheets. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams (e.g., process, mechanical, civil, structural) to ensure design integration and resolve interface issues. * Interpret and apply relevant international and local codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, AWWA C950) applicable to GRE piping. * Participate in design reviews, hazard and operability studies (HAZOP), and safety integrity level (SIL) assessments. * Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning phases. * Review vendor drawings and technical specifications for GRE pipe and fittings. * Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of best practices and procedures. Job Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in piping stress analysis, with significant experience specifically in GRE piping systems. * Proficiency in piping stress analysis software, particularly CAESAR II. * Strong understanding of GRE pipe material properties, manufacturing processes, and installation techniques. * In-depth knowledge of international piping codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31 series). * Experience with pipe support selection and design. * Familiarity with 3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Plant 3D, SmartPlant 3D) is a plus. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. * Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. * Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is desirable.
