Delivery Manager

The Delivery Manager will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end delivery governance across multiple analytics and technology engagements. The role requires strong client- facing capabilities, operational rigor, delivery leadership, and the ability to manage multiple Project Managers and cross-functional delivery teams. This individual will act as the central delivery owner responsible for ensuring: • successful project execution, • delivery quality, • resource optimization, • client satisfaction, • escalation management, • and delivery process maturity. The ideal candidate should come from analytics consulting, IT services, BI consulting, or digital transformation environments and should have hands-on experience managing complex client delivery portfolios. Key Responsibilities Delivery Governance & Portfolio Management • Oversee delivery across multiple concurrent analytics, BI, and data engineering projects. • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with client expectations. • Establish governance mechanisms for project reviews, delivery tracking, risk management, and escalation handling. • Drive standardized delivery processes across all engagements. • Monitor delivery KPIs, utilization, profitability, quality, and resource allocation. • Conduct periodic delivery reviews with Project Managers and leadership teams. Project & Program Oversight • Mentor and oversee Project Managers handling individual client engagements. • Ensure effective planning, execution, dependency management, and stakeholder coordination across projects. • Identify delivery risks proactively and drive mitigation plans. • Manage cross-project prioritization and resource conflicts. • Review project health indicators including timelines, effort variance, budget adherence, and client feedback. Client & Stakeholder Management • Serve as a senior delivery interface for key client stakeholders. • Build strong client confidence through structured communication and delivery excellence. • Participate in governance meetings, steering committee discussions, and escalation resolution. • Manage delivery expectations and navigate changing priorities in dynamic consulting environments. • Support account growth by identifying opportunities for delivery expansion and managed services. Resource & Capacity Management • Oversee team allocation, bandwidth planning, and utilization management. • Collaborate with hiring and leadership teams for resource forecasting and staffing requirements. • Ensure appropriate skill mapping across analytics, BI, engineering, and reporting projects. • Optimize delivery capacity while maintaining quality standards. Process Improvement & Operational Excellence • Build scalable delivery frameworks, SOPs, templates, and governance models. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across delivery operations. • Implement delivery dashboards, reporting standards, and performance tracking mechanisms. • Improve operational maturity and reduce founder dependency in day-to-day project management. Quality & Delivery Assurance • Ensure adherence to delivery standards, documentation practices, and quality benchmarks. • Conduct periodic quality reviews of project outputs, reporting structures, and client deliverables. • Drive accountability and ownership across project teams. • Ensure delivery consistency across all accounts. Requirements Required Skills & Experience Experience • 8–14 years of experience in IT services, analytics consulting, BI consulting, data engineering. • Minimum 3–5 years in delivery/program management roles managing multiple projects simultaneously. • Experience managing Project Managers and cross-functional delivery teams. • Strong exposure to client-facing consulting environments. Domain Exposure Preferred exposure to: • Business Intelligence & Reporting • Data Analytics • Data Engineering • Dashboarding & Visualization • Enterprise Reporting • Managed Analytics Services • Digital Transformation Initiatives Technical Understanding The candidate is not expected to be hands-on technically, but should possess strong conceptual understanding of: • Data pipelines and ETL workflows • BI ecosystems • Reporting architectures • Analytics delivery lifecycle • Cloud and modern data platforms • Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies Exposure to platforms/tools such as: • Power BI • Tableau • SQL • Azure / AWS / GCP • Data Warehousing concepts • Analytics workflows will be an added advantage.
