General Job Information: Job title : Process Head Company / Unit : Rama Phosphates Limited Department : Operations Location : Mumbai - HO Objective of Job: · To lead, standardize, and continuously improve fertilizer manufacturing processes across all plants by ensuring optimal process efficiency, consistent product quality, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective operations. · The role aims to drive data-based decision-making, process audits, technology upgradation, and CAPEX evaluation to enhance plant performance, sustainability, and long-term organizational growth while ensuring adherence to Fertilizer Control Order (FCO), safety, and environmental norms. Key Responsibilities: · Plant Process Data Management & Performance Monitoring Ø Oversee systematic collection, validation, and consolidation of technical and operational process data from all manufacturing plants. Ø Establish standard data reporting formats, KPIs, and benchmarks to monitor plant performance, efficiency, yield, energy consumption, and process stability. Ø Conduct regular follow-ups with plant teams to ensure data accuracy, timely submission, and corrective action tracking. Ø Analyse compiled data to identify process deviations, improvement opportunities, cost optimization measures, and productivity enhancements. Ø Present consolidated process performance reports and insights to senior management with actionable recommendations. · Periodic Plant Audits & Process Verification Ø Plan and conduct periodic technical and process audits across plants to verify adherence to standard operating procedures, design parameters, safety norms, and quality standards. Ø Evaluate plant operations for process efficiency, equipment utilization, bottleneck identification, and loss reduction. Ø Review compliance with statutory, environmental, and internal process guidelines. Ø Document audit findings, recommend corrective and preventive actions, and monitor implementation status in coordination with plant leadership. · CAPEX Review & Technical Evaluation Ø Review and technically evaluate CAPEX proposals related to process improvement, capacity expansion, technology upgradation, debottlenecking, and cost reduction initiatives. Ø Assess technical feasibility, ROI, lifecycle cost, energy efficiency, safety impact, and alignment with long-term business strategy. Ø Provide expert inputs during project planning, vendor selection, and approval stages. Ø Support management in prioritizing CAPEX investments based on operational criticality and strategic value. · Vendor Inspection & Technical Coordination Ø Conduct vendor visits for inspection, technical assessment, and validation of equipment, machinery, raw materials, and process-related services. Ø Ensure vendor compliance with approved technical specifications, quality standards, and delivery commitments. Ø Collaborate with procurement, projects, and quality teams for vendor development, technical negotiations, and issue resolution. Ø Support troubleshooting and performance improvement of supplied equipment or services during installation and commissioning, as required. · Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement Ø Drive continuous improvement initiatives through process optimization, standardization, automation, and adoption of best industry practices. Ø Mentor and guide plant process teams to enhance technical capability, problem-solving skills, and process ownership. Ø Act as a technical authority for process-related decision-making across the organization. Educational Qualification: B.E / B. Tech Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
