Software Asset Management: Hyderabad

As a Software Asset Management Analyst, you will work with the latest technology, including automation and AI, encouraging innovation while developing and supporting best practices to drive software investment value and efficiency for our businesses. This role is far more than license compliance; it is about having an in-depth level of insight of the business software needs and balancing it with an ever-increasing complex software inventory.

Work you'll do

As an Associate Services Specialist I, Asset Lifecycle IT Services on the IT Services team, you will be responsible for:

Support daily software asset management operations, including administrative and analytical activities across the software lifecycle

Process software installation and removal requests accurately and within established timelines

Maintain software inventory and catalog records, including versioning data within software asset management tools

Partner with end users to confirm software currency, maintenance alignment, and business usage requirements

Prepare reporting and analysis to support inventory management, cost optimization, and software investment decisions

Shift Timings: 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST / 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST

Required:

Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology, or bachelor's degree

3+ years of experience in software asset management, software lifecycle management, or a similar role within an enterprise organization

Experience supporting software asset management, release management, or deployment processes

Experience working with desktop, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), server, and Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms

Experience maintaining software inventory, catalog, or versioning data in software asset management tools or configuration management database (CMDB) platforms

Experience creating dashboards or reports to support software inventory management, cost optimization, or decision-making

Experience using one or more of the following tools: ServiceNow, Ariba, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Snow, CMDB, Microsoft Excel

Preferred:

Experience analyzing business processes and recommending process improvements

Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3 or v4 certification

Experience identifying or implementing automation for manual processes

Experience with data visualization tools

Experience with Microsoft 365 and Mac environments
