Feature Development & Delivery

Design, build, test, and ship production features using C#/.NET (Core/8+) with moderate autonomy

Own features end-to-end, working with product and design teams to clarify requirements and translate them into technical solutions

Break down assigned work into well-scoped tasks and provide reliable estimates

Deliver high-quality code that adheres to established architectural patterns and coding standards

Code Quality & Testing

Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code using xUnit/NUnit frameworks

Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and learning from peer reviews

Ensure comprehensive test coverage and maintain code quality standards aligned with SOLID principles

Production Support & Reliability

Debug and resolve production issues within your service area with confidence and speed

Contribute to system reliability and performance optimization

Participate in on-call rotations as needed to support production stability

Team Growth & Collaboration

Informally mentor Software Engineer I team members, sharing knowledge and best practices

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems

Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and tooling

About You

Minimum Qualifications:

2–4 years of professional software development experience, primarily in C#/.NET

Strong understanding of OOP principles, SOLID design patterns, data structures, and algorithms

Proven ability to own features end-to-end with moderate guidance

Proficiency with ASP.NET Core (Web API/MVC)

Experience with Entity Framework Core or Dapper for data access

Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)

Proficiency with Git version control and automated testing frameworks

Familiarity with Azure cloud services and microservices architecture

Understanding of REST API design patterns

Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Ability to break down complex problems into manageable tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in an enterprise-scale microservices environment

Exposure to event-driven architecture or messaging systems (e.g., Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, Kafka)

Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

Familiarity with observability tools and practices (logging, monitoring, distributed tracing)

Prior experience mentoring junior engineers in a professional setting

Background in mortgage, financial services, or another regulated industry

Willingness to mentor and support junior engineers with a proactive approach to learning and professional growth
