Role SAP ABAP Consultant – IDocs & CDS Views Job Description We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with strong expertise in IDocs and CDS Views to develop, enhance, and support SAP applications. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in ABAP development, interface design, data migration, and SAP integrations. The role involves collaborating with functional consultants and business stakeholders to deliver scalable SAP solutions across ECC and/or S/4HANA environments. Key Responsibilities Develop and enhance SAP ABAP programs including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows (RICEFW). Design, develop, and troubleshoot inbound and outbound IDoc interfaces. Create and optimize Core Data Services (CDS) Views for reporting and data modeling. Develop enhancements using User Exits, BAdIs, Enhancement Framework, and Implicit/Explicit Enhancements. Work with Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, and Adobe Forms. Develop ALV reports, Module Pool programming, and Object-Oriented ABAP solutions. Analyze technical specifications and convert functional requirements into technical solutions. Support system integration, testing, deployments, and production issue resolution. Collaborate with functional teams across SAP modules including SD, MM, FI, PP, and WM. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development. Strong hands-on experience with IDocs (ALE/EDI) development and troubleshooting. Experience developing and optimizing CDS Views in SAP S/4HANA. Expertise in Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, Forms, and Conversions. Experience with ALV Reports, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, SAP Scripts, and Module Pool Programming. Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented ABAP. Experience with performance tuning and debugging ABAP applications. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration projects. Knowledge of OData Services, AMDP, RAP, or Fiori integrations. Exposure to BAPIs, RFCs, Proxy, Web Services, and APIs. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
