Job description
We are looking for an experienced Quality Control (QC) Engineer with 5–7 years of hands-on experience in testing web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate should have strong functional testing fundamentals along with practical experience in test automation, API testing, and end-to-end application validation.
The resource will work closely with developers, product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases across web and mobile platforms.
5–7 years of experience in software quality assurance/testing.
Strong experience testing web-based and mobile applications.
Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, defect lifecycle, and testing methodologies.
Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.
Experience with at least one programming/scripting language such as Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or C# for test automation.
Good experience with API testing tools such as Postman and/or REST Assured.
Experience testing applications across Android and iOS devices.
Working knowledge of SQL and database validation.
Experience with defect/test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar tools.
Understanding of Git/version control and CI/CD concepts.
Ability to independently analyze requirements, identify test coverage, and highlight potential quality risks.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Perform end-to-end functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing for web and mobile applications.
Create and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test data, and traceability documentation based on business and functional requirements.
Test applications across multiple browsers, devices, screen sizes, and operating systems.
Perform testing of native/hybrid mobile applications on Android and iOS.
Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web and/or mobile applications.
Identify suitable test cases for automation and continuously improve the automation regression suite.
Perform REST API testing and validate requests, responses, authentication, error handling, and backend integrations.
Identify, document, track, and retest defects while working closely with development teams through resolution.
Participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, grooming, daily stand-ups, and release/UAT activities.
Perform database/data validation using SQL wherever required.
Support release validation and provide clear recommendations on application readiness.
Contribute toward improving overall QA processes, automation coverage, and release quality.
