Job Description Summary

The Senior Representative of Environmental Health and Safety at GKN Powder Metallurgy drives programs that protect associates, visitors, and the environment from hazards at the facility. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing environmental and health activities to ensure associate engagement, regulatory compliance and implement the EHS management system to protect both human health and the environment.

Job Description:

Ensure proper execution of HSE guidelines

Develop and implement good HSE practices.

Ensure & review risk assessment is done on a regular interval.

Achieving Zero accident in the plant.

Monitor and continuously upgrade all safely related equipment.

Carry out the accident analysis in coordination with other related functions and report in the system.

Conducting plant safety inspections for improvement in unsafe act and conditions.

Facilitating Internal/External audit for ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 standard, Conducting MRM.

Ensure HSE statutory Compliance

Ensure compliance to local & international HSE legal norms.

Liaising with Govt. offices for Fire, Safety, Health, and Environment license and compliance to legal norms.

Guidelines to other dept. for implementing HSE policy and norms.

Time to time approve new equipment, projects for HSE compliance.

Coordination with Global HSE team for compliance to group accident action plan, new initiative & reporting.

Ensure and comply with the customer's HSE requirements

Ensure compliance to EMS ISO 50001 standard

Develop HSE work culture

Organize and impart training and create awareness towards HSE.

Emergency preparedness and conducting mock drill.

Prepare HSE event calendar & organize events accordingly.

Required Skills and Education

Any Graduate & a qualification in Advance Diploma in Industrial safety

6-8 years of experience in manufacturing industries.

Strong understanding of manufacturing shop-floor safety.

Risk assessment and hazard identification.

Incident investigation and root-cause analysis.

Audit and compliance management.

Fire and emergency management.

Training and employee engagement.

Good documentation and reporting skills.

Ability to work closely with production, maintenance, quality and HR teams
