Lead Specialist (Team Member - Finance)

Purpose

The SAP FI Consultant will be responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, and supporting SAP Financial Accounting (FI) solutions within SAP S/4HANA environments. This role partners closely with finance stakeholders to optimize financial processes, ensure compliance, support business transformation initiatives, and deliver end-to-end SAP FI solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in at least one full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementation project.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Lead and support SAP FI solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.

Gather business requirements and translate them into SAP FI functional specifications.

Configure and support: General Ledger (GL)

Accounts Payable (AP)

Accounts Receivable (AR)

Asset Accounting (AA)

Bank Accounting

Tax Configuration

Financial Closing Processes

Country-Specific Legal Requirements

FI-MM Integration

FI-SD Integration

Participate in SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, and upgrade projects.

Work with business users to improve and standardize financial processes.

Conduct fit-gap analysis and recommend SAP best practices.

Coordinate with technical teams for custom developments, interfaces, reports, and enhancements.

Prepare functional specifications and support integration testing.

Support integration with SAP MM, SD, PP, CO, Treasury, and third-party systems.

Perform data migration validation and reconciliation activities.

Provide production support and resolve complex FI-related issues.

Facilitate user training sessions and develop user documentation.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and financial reporting standards.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum 6 years of SAP FI consulting experience.

Experience in at least two end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation projects.

Strong hands-on experience in: General Ledger (GL)

Accounts Payable (AP)

Accounts Receivable (AR)

Asset Accounting (AA)

Bank Accounting

Financial Closing Processes

Knowledge of financial accounting standards and internal controls.

Physical Requirements

Remote role.

Occasional travel as required.

Preferred Requirements

MBA (Finance), CA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification.

Experience in multiple global SAP implementation and support projects.

Experience with SAP Fiori, Central Finance, and SAP Group Reporting.

Other Attributes

SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting Certification preferred.

Experience in the Manufacturing or Medical Device industry preferred.
