Job description

Position Overview

The Integration Developer is a solid, independent contributor who builds and supports integrations between the MDM platform and enterprise systems end-to-end. Owns integration pipelines from development through production support under the “you build it, you support it” model. Works with moderate guidance from senior team members on complex integration design but independently delivers sprint commitments and resolves production issues within their domain.

Integration Development & Enhancement

Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and publishing between MDM and connected systems

Design and implement API-based integrations (REST, SOAP) for real-time and near-real-time data exchange

Implement event-driven integration patterns using message queues and streaming platforms

Design and configure job scheduling and orchestration for batch processing

Implement region-specific integration logic including conditional mappings, regional routing rules, and geography-based transformation

Build data mapping and transformation logic for source-to-target scenarios

Develop error handling, retry logic, and dead-letter queue patterns for resilient integrations

Onboard new data sources and systems to the MDM integration layer

Participate in design discussions with the MDM Architect and raise technical concerns on integration feasibility

Implement BPM/workflow orchestration for cross-system business processes (e.g., Camunda, Temporal, or platform-native)

Implement lifecycle status tracking and contribute to cross-system observability

Support integration consolidation by migrating pipelines from legacy patterns to target-state architecture

Implement integration enhancements and optimizations

Platform Modernization

Execute integration modernization tasks — rebuild, reroute, or redesign integration pipelines per modernization plans

Implement new integration patterns and validate end-to-end data flow integrity during modernization phases

Implement data mapping per specifications during modernization phases

Perform regression testing and report discrepancies during modernization

Production Support, Troubleshooting & Incident Resolution

Own production support for integrations you built — resolve incidents within SLAs

Debug end-to-end data flows: source extraction, transformation, delivery, and acknowledgment

Analyze application, middleware, and database logs to isolate root cause of integration failures

Resolve defects involving data format mismatches, connectivity failures, timeout issues, and message delivery problems

Troubleshoot job scheduling failures — missed triggers, dependency chains, resource contention

Identify patterns in recurring integration failures and implement permanent fixes

Collaborate with data lake, ERP, CRM, and MDM teams to resolve cross-system data flow issues

Handle data reconciliation between source systems and MDM platform

Share knowledge on resolved issues through documentation and team sessions

CI/CD, Deployment & DevOps

Use CI/CD pipelines for integration deployments and troubleshoot pipeline failures

Manage deployment processes across dev, test, staging, and production environments

Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting for integration pipelines

Perform post-production validation for integration releases; execute rollback procedures when needed

Participate in DR testing and validate recovery procedures

Manage environment configurations, secrets, and connection parameters across environments

Testing & Quality

Develop and execute test cases for integration SIT and UAT — validate data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness

Perform load and performance testing for high-volume integration pipelines

Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback

Refactor integration code to improve performance, readability, and maintainability

Address technical debt in integration layer — eliminate redundant pipelines, consolidate logic, improve error handling

Security & Compliance

Working knowledge of data security, information security practices, and SOX compliance procedures for integration changes

Required Qualifications

6+ years hands-on experience building data integrations and ETL/ELT pipelines (e.g., Informatica PowerCenter, IICS, Talend, MuleSoft, Azure Data Factory)

6+ years advanced SQL experience — complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)

4+ years hands-on coding — write, debug, and refactor code (e.g., Java, Python, PL/SQL, shell scripting)

4+ years experience with API development and integration (REST, SOAP, webhooks)

3+ years experience with event-driven architecture and messaging platforms (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, AWS EventBridge)

3+ years experience with job scheduling and orchestration tools (e.g., Autosys, Control-M, Apache Airflow, cron)

3+ years experience with CI/CD tools and deployment automation (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Ansible)

3+ years experience with log analysis and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack, Datadog, CloudWatch)

2+ years experience with process orchestration or BPM platforms (e.g., Camunda, Temporal, Appian)

2+ years experience with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)

2+ years experience with incident management using ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira)

Experience integrating with MDM platforms and understanding of MDM data flows (match, merge, publish)

Strong knowledge of SDLC: requirements, development, testing (unit, SIT, UAT), CI/CD, change management, release management

Preferred Qualifications

Manufacturing industry experience

Informatica MDM or Reltio integration experience

Experience with iPaaS platforms (e.g., Workato, Boomi, Celigo) for integration orchestration

Familiarity with graph database concepts

Experience with data lake architectures and integration patterns (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, S3)

Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

Experience collaborating with adjacent data teams on cross-system data flows

Agile/Scrum delivery experience
