Job Summary

Austin Bazaar is seeking an experienced Accounting & Finance professional to support accounting operations, financial reporting, accounts payable, reconciliations, payroll reporting, and inventory accounting.

Austin Bazaar is a leading U.S. online retailer of musical instruments, pro audio equipment, and accessories, selling through Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Shopify, and B2B channels.

The ideal candidate will have strong QuickBooks and Excel skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience working with a U.S.-based company or U.S. clients.

Key Responsibilities

Manage accounts payable, invoice verification, vendor payments, and reconciliations.

Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks.

Reconcile bank, vendor, payment, and other financial accounts.

Prepare and support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash-flow reports.

Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

Coordinate with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies and payment-related queries.

Assist with inventory reconciliation and reporting across multiple locations.

Support payroll-related data processing and reporting.

Prepare Excel-based financial reports, dashboards, trackers, and reconciliation workbooks.

Identify discrepancies and recommend improvements to accounting processes and controls.

Collaborate with Finance, Operations, HR, Procurement, and U.S.-based leadership.

Ensure compliance with relevant U.S. accounting practices and reporting requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.

Five to seven years of relevant accounting or finance experience.

Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks is mandatory.

Prior experience working with a U.S.-based company or U.S. clients is strongly preferred.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and reconciliation workbooks.

Strong understanding of accounts payable, reconciliations, financial reporting, and closing processes.

Inventory-reconciliation experience is preferred.

Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical ability.

Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

Ability to work hours that overlap with U.S. business hours.

Mandatory Software Usage

Employee tracking software is mandatory from the first day of employment.

The software supports accountability, work-hour recording, and productivity monitoring.

Timely Submission of Documents

Candidates must provide all required documents promptly during the background-check process. Failure to submit the required documents may result in the offer letter being rescinded.

Work Schedule

Full-time

Monday–Friday

India shift timing: 2:00 PM–11:00 PM IST or 3:00 PM–12:00 AM IST, depending on business requirements

Must overlap with U.S. business hours as required
