The ideal candidate will possess a foundational understanding of VMware technologies and cloud computing principles. This role is essential for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our virtualized environments.
Provide first-level support for VMware environments, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to virtual machines and infrastructure. Assist in the deployment, configuration, and management of VMware solutions. Monitor system performance and ensure optimal operation of virtualized resources. Collaborate with senior engineers to implement cloud solutions and best practices. Document technical processes and maintain accurate records of support activities. Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in VMware and cloud computing. Mandatory Skills: Strong understanding of VMware technologies, including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter. Basic knowledge of cloud computing concepts and services. Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Preferred Skills: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation tasks. Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices. Experience with monitoring tools and performance management.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in a technical support role, preferably with a focus on VMware and cloud technologies. Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware Certified Professional - VCP) are a plus.
