Process guest payments accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system for room charges, restaurant bills, and retail purchases

Manage cash drawer operations, including opening, closing, and reconciliation at the end of each shift

Maintain strict cash handling procedures and security protocols to ensure the protection of hotel funds

Provide exceptional customer service to guests whilst processing transactions in a professional and courteous manner

Verify payment methods, including credit cards, cheques, and cash, and identify any discrepancies or fraudulent transactions

Prepare daily financial reports and reconciliation statements, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded

Balance the till and report any variances to the Finance Manager

Maintain confidentiality regarding guest information and financial transactions

Respond promptly to guest enquiries and resolve payment-related issues with professionalism

Comply with all hotel policies, procedures, and financial regulations

Support the front office team during peak periods to ensure efficient guest check-in and check-out processes

Keep the cashier station organised, clean, and secure at all times

Secondary school education or equivalent qualification

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a cashier or similar financial transactions role, preferably in a hospitality environment

Proficiency in operating point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling equipment

Strong numerical and mathematical skills with the ability to perform accurate calculations

Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities

Fluency in English; additional language proficiency (Hindi, Mandarin, or other regional languages) is advantageous.
