Purchase officer

IRP Systems is seeking a dedicated Purchase Officer to manage and oversee our procurement processes. The ideal candidate will ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services, maintaining strong supplier relationships.

• Source and qualify potential suppliers for Mechanical components, Fixtures, tools & equipment.
• Independently can-do ABC & Should costing of Mechanical parts – PDC, Machining, Injection moulding & Die/Mould costing
• Identify and implement various cost levers for better price negotiate with suppliers
• Identify and onboard new/strategic sources for improvement in QCDDM
• Proven track record of cost savings in PDC, Machining & Injection moulding categories
• Good knowledge in working with ISO / TS, APQP & PPAP systems
• Ensure all procurement documentation is accurately maintained in ERP system.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure supplier quality and compliance with specifications.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks; implement contingency plans as needed.
• Manage import/export processes for local and international procurement, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and optimizing logistics efficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / Tool & die engineering
• 6~7 years of experience in sourcing and procurement in OEM/Auto tier-1 companies
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaborative abilities.
• High attention to detailing and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Handon on - Excel & PowerPoint, AI tools
• Fluency in English.

• Build and manage relationships with existing and new suppliers.
• Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, payments, lead times to secure favourable terms.
• Place timely purchase orders to maintain optimum stock levels.
• Continuous monitoring and coordination of purchase orders and supplier deliveries.
• Ensure all procurement documentation is accurately maintained in ERP system.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure supplier quality and compliance with specifications.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks; implement contingency plans as needed.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives across the supply chain
• Manage import/export processes for local and international procurement, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and optimizing logistics efficiency.
