Job description

At Gigamon, our purpose is to protect the hybrid networks and data of the largest, most complex organizations on the planet. Certified as a Great Place to Work, we offer a deep observability pipeline that efficiently delivers network-derived intelligence to cloud, security, and observability tools. This helps our customers to eliminate security blind spots, optimize network traffic, and dramatically reduce tool cost and complexity, enabling them to better secure and manage their hybrid cloud infrastructure. Gigamon has served more than 4,000 customers worldwide, including over 80 percent of Fortune 100 enterprises, 9 of the 10 largest mobile network providers, and hundreds of governments and educational organizations.

This role leads integrated new product introduction (NPI) programs for complex hardware platforms from architecture through production release. Working across Hardware Engineering, Firmware, Software, FPGA, Systems, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and external partners, the role drives cross-functional execution, technical risk management, compliance, and production readiness. The position combines strong program leadership with hands-on hardware understanding to resolve issues, manage phase gates, and maintain alignment across engineering and operational teams. This work enables Gigamon to deliver reliable, compliant, high-performance networking and security products on schedule.

What you’ll do:

Own the integrated NPI program plan, milestones, critical path, dependencies, resources, risks, issues, decisions, and phase-gate readiness from architecture through production release.

Drive EVT, DVT, PVT, pilot production, and mass-production readiness, including entry/exit criteria, build plans, go/no-go reviews, recovery plans, and executive reporting.

Coordinate board spins, rework, engineering changes, defect triage, root-cause analysis, retest, and closure of critical hardware issues.

Serve as the primary liaison between Hardware Engineering and Firmware, Software, FPGA, Systems, Mechanical, Thermal, Reliability, Quality, Manufacturing, Product Management, Supply Chain, and Product Operations.

Lead requirements reviews, integration reviews, technical risk reviews, supplier checkpoints, build-readiness reviews, phase gates, and leadership updates.

Manage JDM/OEM partners, contract manufacturers, PCB assembly suppliers, component suppliers, test laboratories, and other external technology providers.

Track BOM/AVL readiness, long-lead components, capacity, tooling, manufacturing test, DFM/DFA, design-for-test, yield, quality issues, corrective actions, and production ramp readiness.

Manage external hardware vendors, technical service agreements, tool subscriptions, certification vendors, and license renewals.

Drive configuration management and controlled change processes for schematics, PCB layouts, FPGA releases, BOMs, mechanical drawings, firmware, test procedures, manufacturing documentation, and released products.

## Hardware Compliance and Certification Requirements

Own the hardware compliance plan, certification schedule, regulatory dependencies, and release evidence for applicable markets.

Strong knowledge of applicable **EMI/EMC requirements**, **product safety requirements**, **environmental and materials compliance requirements**

Partner with Product Security and Engineering on applicable hardware security requirements, including secure boot, root of trust, key storage, debug-port controls, component provenance, and SBOM inputs.

Coordinate pre-compliance assessments, formal testing, test-house activities, failure analysis, retesting, corrective actions, declarations of conformity, regulatory marks, certificates, and technical documentation.

Maintain traceability between requirements, design evidence, test results, deviations, waivers, certification decisions, and engineering changes.

Ensure PCB revisions, component substitutions, enclosure changes, firmware updates, and manufacturing-site changes are assessed for compliance and certification impact.

What you’ve done:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent hardware or engineering program management experience may be considered.

Significant experience range 10 to 14 years managing complex hardware development programs, preferably in networking, telecommunications, cloud infrastructure, or security products.

Strong understanding of the complete hardware lifecycle: architecture, schematic and PCB development, FPGA verification, prototype builds, board bring-up, system integration, qualification, certification, production ramp, and sustaining engineering.

Hands-on hardware lab experience, including troubleshooting boards and systems with engineering teams and driving issue resolution from observed data.

Demonstrated experience bringing up at least one PCB or complex hardware platform from initial power-on through functional validation.

Working knowledge of high-speed interfaces, power delivery, signal integrity, thermal management, chassis design, manufacturing test, reliability, and system validation.

Experience coordinating EMI/EMC testing, product safety evaluation, environmental qualification, reliability testing, and regulatory certification.

Expert knowledge of program management practices, including integrated planning, risk and issue management, dependency tracking, change control, stakeholder management, and executive communication.

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority and influence engineering, operations, suppliers, and leadership.

Track record of delivering complex programs against challenging schedule, quality, cost, and performance targets in a large organization.
