Senior Software Engineer - Test

Responsibilities Analyze business and functional requirements for smart meter applications and systems. Prepare, review, and execute test cases and test scenarios. Perform Functional, System Integration, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Validate smart meter data, meter communication, and billing-related workflows. Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and O&M teams to resolve issues. Support production deployments and post-release validation activities. Prepare test reports and provide regular quality status updates. Ensure system reliability and data accuracy within Smart Meter and AMI environments. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Experience in Smart Meter, Utility, Energy Knowledge of meter operations, billing systems, and field service processes. Experience: 2-5 Years (or as applicable) Requirements Exposure to Test Automation frameworks , Java, Selenium , Playwright , BDD, Cucumber. Experience in Manual Testing and Quality Assurance. Knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Life Cycle. Understanding of Smart Metering, AMI, Meter Data Management (MDM), or Utility domain. Experience in Test Case Design, Execution, and Defect Tracking. Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation. Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar bug-tracking tools. Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
