Senior Associate Java Developer

Key Responsibilities: • Design and develop Java-based applications, SDKs, libraries, and developer tools for smart card and secure payment platforms. • Build APIs and frameworks for interaction with Secure Elements, Java Cards, and mobile wallets. • Develop sample applications, reference implementations, and technical documentation for SDK consumers. • Implement EMV, GlobalPlatform, and ISO 7816/14443 compliant applications. • Develop secure and optimized code considering memory and performance constraints. • Perform applet debugging, testing, and validation using industry-standard tools. • Manage applet lifecycle (installation, personalization, deletion) using GlobalPlatform. • Work on secure key management, cryptographic operations, and data protection. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including host system, personalization, and certification teams. • Analyse and resolve issues in card-host interaction and transaction flows. • Maintain technical documentation and support production deployments. Skills: • 5+ years’ experience in software development and qualification of Java Card Payment Application • Prior Experience to developed payment card applet with any SCHEME • In depth knowledge of EMV standard and global platform standard. • Programming experience in Java or Python • Experience developing SDKs, APIs, libraries, or developer tools. • Experience with card personalization tools like MULTOS, GPPro, Gemalto IDV or similar. • Should possesses the functional knowledge of ISO 14443 / 7816 / 8583 / 9564. Experience with debugging tools like PyAPDU, GPShell, or JCOP tools. • Strong knowledge of chip manufacturing industry is needed. • Strong understanding of EMV standards, cryptographic algorithms (AES, RSA, ECC, PQC). • Familiarity with HSM and secure element programming. • Experience in card manufacturing industry. • Experience in PKI and Certificate Management • Collaborate with teams on certification processes (EMVCo, PCI DSS, etc.) • Good to have EMV certifications. Soft Skills • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Ability to work independently and in a team • Good communication and documentation skills • Attention to detail with a focus on security Requirements Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or in a related field. • 5 years of relevant experience is must. • Previous experience in payment networks requirements likes (Visa, Mastercard, Rupay, etc.) is a plus.
