Linux & Windows Server Administrator

• Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux & Windows Server Administrator to join IT team in client premises. The role will primarily focus on Linux system administration (70%) while also providing support for Windows server environments (30%). The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting critical server infrastructure across physical, virtualized, and cloud environments, ensuring security, performance, and high availability.

• Must Have Skills (Mandatory)
• Strong experience (5–7 years) in Linux system administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu/Debian).
• Hands-on expertise in Windows Server Administration (2016/2019/2022).
• Proficiency in scripting & automation (Bash, Python) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls, VPNs).
• Virtualization technologies: VMware, KVM, Hyper-V.
• Cloud exposure: AWS, Azure.
• System security best practices (SELinux/AppArmor, patching, vulnerability remediation).
• Experience with storage technologies (LVM, NFS, Samba, SAN/NAS).
• Monitoring & observability tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, Splunk).
• Relevant certifications (RHCE, CompTIA Linux+, MCSA/MCSE).
• Good-to-have Skills (Optional)
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to web server & app server management (Apache, Nginx).
• Basic database administration (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Backup & disaster recovery planning.
• File & Print Services management (Windows).
• Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s / Engineering Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5–7 years of proven experience in server administration (Linux-heavy).
• Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
