Job Title: Supply Chain Manager – Seed Production Department: Supply Chain / Seed Production Industry: Agriculture / Seeds Job Location: Jabalpur / Madhya Pradesh Experience: 5–10 Years Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to manage end-to-end seed production supply chain operations, including production planning, procurement, inventory management, processing, quality control coordination, warehousing, and distribution. The candidate should have experience in the seed industry and the ability to coordinate with farmers, seed production teams, processing units, warehouses, and sales teams. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement seed production and supply chain plans based on sales forecasts and market demand. Coordinate seed production activities with contract farmers, growers, and field production teams. Plan and monitor seed procurement, harvesting, collection, processing, treatment, packing, and dispatch.. Ensure timely availability of quality seeds as per production targets and business requirements Manage inventory, warehouse stock, seed lots, batch traceability, and stock reconciliation. Coordinate with quality control teams to ensure seed quality, germination, purity, and applicable certification requirements. Monitor seed processing, packaging, storage, and transportation activities. Control supply chain costs and minimize wastage, shortages, and excess inventory. Coordinate with the sales, production, procurement, finance, and logistics teams. Maintain production records, inventory reports, dispatch schedules, and supply chain MIS. Identify supply chain risks and take corrective action to avoid delays and losses. Ensure compliance with applicable seed laws, quality standards, and company policies. Requirements Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 5–10 years of relevant experience in seed production, seed processing, or agricultural supply chain management. Strong knowledge of seed production cycles, procurement, processing, storage, and inventory control. Experience in managing farmers, vendors, warehouses, and logistics operations. Good planning, coordination, negotiation, and team management skills. Working knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/inventory management systems. Willingness to travel to seed production locations and warehouses as required.
