Position Title : Senior Analyst-Products

Division: Africa Regional Hub (ARH)

Function: ARH Actuarial

Immediate Supervisor’s Position Title: Manager -Products

Location: Bengaluru, India

Role Purpose: The purpose of this role is to support the Africa actuarial products team in delivery of products for five Africa business units. Key responsibilities include development and review of pricing models, performing pricing and profit testing and supporting in the development and review of product collaterals to support internal and regulatory approvals.

Review and maintenance of actuarial pricing models

Sense-check and validate proposed actuarial pricing bases

Review and validate pricing model outputs (premium rates, surrender values, financial metrics)

Review customer facing documents and PSDs

Completion of reviews for all products assigned within agreed timelines

Development and documentation of actuarial pricing models, and proposing appropriate pricing methodologies as necessary

Producing premium rates, surrender values, paid-up values and other product related customer outputs

Producing required product financial metrics and performing sensitivity testing

Preparing materials and making presentations to different stakeholders

Preparation of pricing reports for regulatory filing

Completion of customer facing materials and PSDs

Delivery of assigned LBUs products and accompanying collateral within agreed timelines

Core requirements: Brief description of any technical skills or qualifications required

Degree in Actuarial Science or other appropriate degree.

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in actuarial function, 3 of which must be in pricing role.

Associate qualification from a recognised actuarial professional body.

Proficiency in Excel and Visual Basic Applications

Excellent stakeholder management skills

Effective communicator

Preferable skills: Brief description of any technical skills or qualifications preferred

Experience in product development

Excellent problem-solving skills with a meticulous and methodical approach

Good business acumen
