Primary Responsibilities: Analyze project specifications to understand system requirements and develop applications using LabVIEW, TestStand, or VeriStand. Design and implement LabVIEW-based software solutions for measurement, automation, and testing systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software with hardware components. Develop and execute comprehensive software test plans to ensure the functionality, quality, and reliability of ATE applications. Interpret and analyze test results, identifying and troubleshooting any issues or bugs during both engineering and production processes. Create detailed documentation, including software user manuals and technical reports, to support system implementation and maintenance. Provide technical support to customers during test execution and troubleshooting phases. Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to provide regular status updates and meet project timelines. Stay abreast of advancements in LabVIEW, Test Stand, and NI hardware/software technologies to enhance development processes. Demonstrate adaptability and a commitment to learning new tools, technologies, and methodologies.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum 5-6 years of hands-on experience in programming and development using LabVIEW and NI Test Stand. Proven expertise in developing software applications for measurement and automation systems. Strong understanding of hardware integration and experience working with data acquisition devices. Proficiency in utilizing lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMM), and power supplies. Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including the creation and execution of test plans. Strong knowledge in communication protocols such as CAN, Serial, ARINC, and Modbus. Previous experience in developing and supporting ATE for production plants is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable software solutions. Knowledge of and adherence to lab safety standards and work environment best practices. Experience in programming with Python or C# is a plus. Familiarity with ATE hardware design and electrical drawing is an added advantage. Required to travel a minimum of 30-40% of the time to production plants.
