YOUR ROLE AT SIXT

You build ML powered systems together with Data Scientists and ML Engineers, from the first design session to the validated outcome in production, with one team working toward one goal

You understand the business and the processes to build solutions and not only write code

You design and build robust backend services in Go that power the risk steering cycle and decision-making workflows

You are responsible for designing, developing, and operating end-to-end distributed systems on the cloud

You participate in code reviews, contribute to team knowledge sharing and maintain documentation

You work on event-driven systems and keep yourself up to date with the latest technologies to help you create scalable and resilient software

YOUR SKILLS MATTER

Education You hold a B.Tech, B.E., or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline

Tech Stack You bring strong, production-proven experience in Go, plus confidence in at least one more language such as Python or Java

Experience You have 7+ years of experience working in sophisticated technology environments such as building cloud-native applications, solving scalability challenges, designing event-driven solutions, and good to have working experience in ML-powered products

Cloud You have already designed or operated distributed systems and microservices architectures, with a clear understanding of the trade-offs that come with operating at scale, and experience working with cloud providers (AWS or similar)

Tools & Systems You have good understanding of event-driven platforms, pub-sub and messaging using brokers such as Kafka, NSQ or RabbitMQ

Mindset You have a product-oriented mindset and attention to detail

Team Spirit You act as a partner to Risk, Engineering, and Data Science; you challenge unclear framing, explain trade-offs in business terms, and communicate fluently
