About the Role
We're looking for a community builder - someone who owns how AI adoption actually spreads across the organization - by making AI tools and use-cases visible, credible, and easy to act on for the teams that need them. You'll run our internal advocate network, shape how we communicate AI progress and practical takeaways across the business, and be the first point of contact when someone gets stuck trying something new.
This is a role for someone who thinks like a marketer about an internal audience: who segments that audience, tailors the message to what each group actually cares about, measures whether the message landed, and iterates. You won't be writing code or building AI agents day to day — but you'll need enough hands-on familiarity with AI tools to speak credibly to the people who are building with them, and to point them in the right direction when they hit a wall.
What You'll Do
Build and run an internal advocate network spanning multiple business functions — drive engagement, momentum, and a steady flow of shared use-cases and wins from across the org
Own our internal AI community — a broader, open space for questions and discovery, and a more focused advocate group for deeper engagement
Shape a regular communications cadence (newsletter, updates, or equivalent) that treats AI adoption like a product to be marketed internally: with practical takeaways readers can act on
Plan and run events — from small working sessions to a periodic org-wide showcase — that give teams a reason to engage and a stage to share what they've built
Segment and track adoption across departments and levels, distinguishing genuine engagement from surface-level activity, and flagging structural barriers
Serve as first point of contact for teams stuck building or using AI tools — diagnose roughly what's going wrong and route them to the right person or resource
What We're Looking For
Must-have
2-5 years of experience in roles centered on building audiences, communities, or internal engagement
Proven experience building an audience, community, or engaged following from scratch
Genuine ability to energize a group and get people excited to participate. Less logistics, more pull that makes people want to show up and contribute.
Strong instinct for internal audience segmentation and message-market fit — you naturally ask "who is this for and what do they actually need to hear" before you write or plan anything
Writing and communication style that defaults to practical and specific over promotional. You can turn a raw update into a "here's what to do with this" takeaway
Comfortable working cross-functionally with no formal authority, getting busy people across different teams to engage voluntarily
Analytically fluent enough to read engagement and adoption data by segment and ask the right next questions rather than just report a number
Hands-on with AI tools, having personally used more than one platform to build or automate something real, enough to hold a credible conversation and recognize when someone's genuinely stuck versus just early in the process
Nice-to-have
Background in marketing, communications, or community roles with an internal (not just external/customer-facing) focus
Experience running or contributing to a change-management or adoption initiative of any kind, AI or otherwise
Experience planning and running events or showcases
Exposure to any enterprise chat-based collaboration platform as a community space
Explicitly not required
Prior experience building AI agents or models professionally
Prior fintech or financial services experience
People management experience
What Success Looks Like
An advocate network that generates its own content and use-case sharing, not one that only responds when prompted
A communications cadence people forward to colleagues, not just open and scroll past
A track record of routing people to the right help quickly, so the community becomes the default first stop when someone's stuck
