Job description
Anaplan is Vanderlande's platform for integrated business planning (S&OP/IBP). As Anaplan Integration & Application Specialist you own the technical side of this platform: the data integrations that feed it from our enterprise landscape and the day-to-day technical application management that keeps it reliable, secure, and performant. You join at a pivotal moment. Today, application-to-application integration at Vanderlande runs over an enterprise service bus based on Azure Service Bus, and Anaplan will initially integrate with our current ERP system, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. At the same time, we are building a modern integration and data platform based on the Databricks Lakehouse, and we stand at the start of a major ERP modernization. You will build the integrations that work today — and re-platform them for the landscape of tomorrow. Important to know: you will not build or modify the financial and logistical planning models themselves. Model building is owned by the S&OP/IBP team, outside IT. You partner closely with their model builders, but your focus is data, integration, and technical platform management.
Design, build, and maintain integrations into and out of Anaplan (Anaplan Connect, CloudWorks, REST APIs), connecting sources such as JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and CRM via our Azure Service Bus-based ESB.
Contribute to migrating these integrations to our Databricks Lakehouse-based data platform, and prepare the Anaplan integration landscape for the upcoming ERP modernization.
Perform technical application management for the Anaplan platform: monitoring of data flows and jobs, incident and problem management, conduct impact analysis related up and downstream changes, user and access management, security roles, and coordination of releases and platform updates.
Safeguard data quality and timeliness of inbound data, together with the S&OP/IBP team and data owners.
Document integrations, interfaces, and operational procedures, and continuously improve automation and observability of the platform.
Work within our Scaled Agile (SAFe) way of working, committing and delivering on a quarterly cadence together with the wider IT Applications teams.
Bachelor's degree or higher in IT, computer science, or a comparable field.
Hands-on Anaplan experience is required — gained at Anaplan, a consulting or implementation partner, or an end-user organization. Demonstrable experience with Anaplan integration tooling (Anaplan Connect, CloudWorks, REST APIs) is what sets you apart; Anaplan certification is a plus.
3+ years of hands-on experience building and running integrations or data pipelines: REST APIs, ETL/ELT, message-based integration.
Solid SQL and scripting skills (e.g. Python). Experience with the Azure integration stack (Service Bus, Data Factory, Functions) and/or Databricks is a strong plus.
Familiarity with ERP data structures; knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is a plus.
A structured application management mindset: you take ownership of stability, security, and continuity, and you know how to run a platform, not just build on it.
Strong communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus); you bridge naturally between IT engineers and business planners.
