Job Description: Job Description Position: IP Counsel Location: Bengaluru/Pune Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Lawyer to manage and safeguard the company’s IP portfolio across multiple jurisdictions. This role involves strategic oversight of IP assets, handling complex IP transactions, and ensuring compliance with global IP laws. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Commercial IP transactions along with the ability to collaborate across internal teams. R͏oles and responsibilities: This person would be working as a part of the IP Legal team in Wipro. This person would be responsible for co-ordinating with the inventors to understand the invention and perform patentability searches, draft patent applications, co-ordinate with the law firm to draft and review the patent application. Well versed with patent law across jurisdictions such as India, Europe, and US. Respond/review the response to Office actions and rejections from patent offices. Lead patent analytics projects. Perform Freedom to Operate searches, Evidence of Use searches, prepare Evidence of Use charts, Invalidity searches. Undertake IP training across different business verticals of Wipro. Advise business stakeholders on different IP matters or issues related to patents, copyrights, trademark, trade secrets. Review IP contracts such as patent licensing agreements, product licensing agreements, IP clauses in MSA, SOW and other IP agreements. Qualifications:͏ Masters/Bachelor of Engineering (BE/B.tech/ME/M.Tech) in Computer Science, Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunications and other related disciplines. Masters/Bachelor’s in Law (LLB/LLM) is preferred. 2-5 years of experience in the field of Intellectual Property (In-house experience and IP Attorney is preferred) Must be a Registered patent agent in India. In depth knowledge of patent prosecution, patent drafting, and patent analytics. Well versed with the new and upcoming technology in field of software and telecommunication such as Gen AI, IOT, Block chain etc. Experience in review of IP Contracts is preferred. ͏ ͏ Reinvent your world. We are building a modern Wipro.
