Copado
Marketing Operations Manager
Skills
Job description
About the Role
We're hiring a Senior Marketing Operations Manager who can turn unclear requests into working systems and act as a true partner to Marketing, Sales, and RevOps. You'll own our Pardot and Salesforce marketing stack, but the job is bigger than the tools: you'll help teams decide what to build, in what order, and why.
This role fits someone who stays steady when priorities shift, the data is messy, and no playbook exists yet. You'll shape the playbook as you go.
What You'll Do
Partner with the business
Act as a strategic partner to Demand Gen, Field Marketing, Product Marketing, and RevOps, not an order-taker
Turn vague asks ("we need better lead nurturing") into clear problem statements, options, and recommendations
Push back constructively, set expectations on scope and timing, and say no when a request doesn't serve the goal
Run regular planning and prioritization conversations with stakeholders and keep a transparent roadmap
Translate between marketing, sales, and technical teams so everyone shares the same definitions and goals
Thrive in ambiguity
Make sound decisions with incomplete information, document your assumptions, and adjust as you learn
Define structure where none exists: lead lifecycle, scoring, routing, attribution, and handoff rules
Re-prioritize quickly when strategy shifts, without losing sight of long-term goals
Spot problems before anyone asks, and bring a proposed fix along with the issue
Work independently, and know when to escalate or bring others in
Run and improve the stack
Own Pardot (Marketing Cloud Account Engagement): campaigns, forms, landing pages, email programs, automation rules, scoring, and grading
Own the Pardot–Salesforce integration: field mapping, sync behavior, campaign influence, and lead and contact management
Build and maintain Salesforce reports and dashboards for funnel, pipeline contribution, and campaign performance
Keep data clean with governance standards, deduplication, and regular audits
Document processes, naming conventions, and workflows so the system is easy to hand off and scale
Evaluate new tools and features, and make the case for them only when they solve a real problem
What We're Looking For
2–4 years in marketing operations, demand generation operations, or a similar role
Hands-on, expert-level experience with Pardot / Account Engagement: building programs, automations, scoring, and reporting
Strong working knowledge of Salesforce: objects, campaigns, lead and contact flow, reports, dashboards, and basic admin tasks
A track record of business partnering: you've earned trust with sales and marketing leaders and influenced decisions, not just executed tickets
Comfort in ambiguity: examples of building process or structure from scratch, or bringing order to a messy system
Strong analytical skills and the ability to explain data and trade-offs to non-technical audiences
Clear written and verbal communication, including documentation others actually use
A habit of asking "why" before "how" and prioritizing by business impact
Nice to have
Pardot Specialist
Experience with attribution or campaign influence models
Familiarity with tools around the stack, such as data enrichment, webinar, ABM, or BI platforms
Experience in a B2B SaaS or high-growth environment
Basic SQL, or comfort with HTML and CSS for email and landing pages
