Working knowledge of NetSuite's platform layer — scripting, configuration, and integration — sufficient to guide a team and speak credibly with technical stakeholders. Leadership 5–8+ years of experience building and leading high-performing pre-sales or solution consulting teams. Demonstrated ability to operate as a strategic partner to country/regional leadership, not just a deal-support function. Confidence and standing to push back on sales strategy when needed, backed by credible alternatives. Customer-Facing Leadership Executive presence, charisma, and conviction in front of senior customer stakeholders. Candidate Profile The successful candidate is a senior pre-sales and ERP leader who can move fluidly between Mid-Market velocity and Enterprise depth, is a credible strategic partner to India leadership, and leads from the front with a hands-on, humble, and collaborative style — while holding the team and the business to a high, quantifiable bar. We are looking at 18+ years of total experience in ERP/SaaS pre-sales, solution consulting, or implementation, including 5–8 years in a solution consulting or pre-sales leadership role. As part of the Oracle sales team you will direct and manage pre-sales resources throughout the sales cycle. Provides technical/functional leadership to the sales team in the development and implementation of customer applications and customer products. Participates in account planning and strategy development. May publishes technical information of specific applications and/or technical articles. Works with management to define new products. Serves as the company liaison on specific technical projects with customers. Key Responsibilities 1. Segment-Led Pre-Sales Leadership Lead pre-sales strategy differently by segment: drive velocity, repeatability, and speed-to-value in Mid-Market pursuits, and deeper solution architecture, business-case rigor, and value-based selling in Enterprise pursuits. Partner with sales leadership to improve win rates, deal quality, customer engagement, and sales-cycle velocity across both segments. 2. Strategic Partnership to India Leadership Act as a strategic partner to the India leadership team, contributing to sustainable, predictable revenue generation — not just deal-by-deal support. Contribute to strategic initiatives that strengthen the India business, including rolling out innovative solution packages, building an India industry play, improving upsell value within the existing customer base, and improving internal revenue-related processes. 3. Team Management and Practice Building Build and lead a high-performing team of solution consultants and principals, with 5–8 years of prior people-leadership experience. Set clear goals, enablement plans, and career development paths, and actively manage IC performance across quantifiable KPIs, product knowledge, industry knowledge, soft skills (discovery, demo, and storytelling), and attitude. Build a culture that is hands-on, humble, collaborative, and positive — one where the team takes initiative and stays open to learning. 4. Customer-Facing Leadership Bring the charisma and conviction to engage CXOs, finance leaders, IT leaders, and business heads directly on the largest or most sensitive pursuits. Handle customer requirements and escalations efficiently, working closely with the team to drive timely, high-quality resolution. Lead discovery on strategic opportunities and translate customer requirements into compelling, commercially sound solution strategies and executive narratives. 5. Solution Architecture and Value Selling Drive value-based selling by tying NetSuite capabilities to measurable operational and financial outcomes. Work closely with implementation, delivery, and partner teams so that proposed solutions are grounded and deliverable post-sale. 6. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with regional and global pre-sales leadership, sales, product, marketing, delivery, customer success, and alliance teams. Support webinars, customer events, executive briefings, and industry campaigns relevant to India's target industries. Share field insights to sharpen messaging, competitive positioning, and solution packaging for the India market. Career Level - M4
