Job description
What is PerfectServe?
PerfectServe is a leading provider of clinical communication and physician scheduling solutions in the health IT space. The company was founded in 1997 and has grown steadily since then, with a notable jump after several major acquisitions were announced in 2019. PerfectServe now has 400+ employees, 30,000+ customers — spanning medical practices, hospitals, and health systems — and $100 million+ in annual revenue.
PerfectServe’s mission is to accelerate speed to care by optimizing provider schedules and routing communications — including messages, pages, calls, and alerts — to the right place at the right time in any care setting. By facilitating real-time information sharing, building better schedules, and automating important clinical workflows, we believe we can help our customers advance patient care and improve the well-being of their clinicians.
Leading analyst firms like Gartner® and KLAS Research have consistently validated our approach:
In 2026, PerfectServe was named highest in execution and furthest in vision in the Gartner Magic Quadrant™ for Clinical Communication and Collaboration — the clear segment leader.
PerfectServe also received two Best in KLAS awards in 2026 — one for physician scheduling and another for ambulatory clinical communications. That makes for 11 Best in KLAS awards over the past 9 years.
At PerfectServe, you'll have a unique opportunity to join a collaborative team with decades of experience that finds new ways to delight our customers every day. This involves consistent efforts to stay on the cutting edge of product development, which includes everything from implementing AI in new and existing solutions to brainstorming with customers about novel workflows. But you don't have to be in product to make in impact — everybody at PerfectServe contributes to important work that moves the business forward.
If you're looking for a well-established, tech-forward company full of smart people doing meaningful work, you've found the right place!
Analyst, Corporate Development & Strategic Partnerships
Reports to Chief Strategy Officer
About PerfectServe
PerfectServe builds the clinical communication and scheduling technology that helps physicians, nurses, and care teams deliver faster, safer care. Our cloud-based platform is used by more than 500 hospitals and 40,000+ ambulatory practices across the country, and we are backed by K1 Investment Management as we execute an aggressive growth strategy across both acute and non-acute healthcare markets. We've been at this for nearly 30 years, but we're moving like a company half our age: expanding through M&A, building AI-native products, and forming partnerships that extend our reach into new corners of healthcare.
We hold tight to a set of core values, Collaboration, Integrity, Innovation, Service, Purpose, and Inclusion, and we need a diverse team that reflects the communities we serve to build technology that works for everyone.
About the Role
PerfectServe grows in two connected ways: through acquisitions and partnerships that extend our reach into new markets, and through the relationships with investors, partners, and advisors that make those deals possible. We're looking for a Corporate Development & Partnerships Analyst to support both. A significant part of this role is proactive sourcing: identifying acquisition and partnership targets directly, through research, outreach, and cold calling, rather than relying only on inbound opportunities. This includes finding targets in less obvious places, industry forums, conferences, and online communities, where companies worth a conversation show up before they're on anyone's radar. You'll own the pipeline from first contact, qualifying opportunities and keeping them moving. Alongside this, you'll support our partner ecosystem, channel, and strategic relationships that extend our reach outside of a full acquisition. You'll work directly with the Chief Strategy Officer and have regular interaction with PerfectServe's executive team, our board, our private equity sponsor K1, and outside advisors.
This is a strong early-career opportunity to build a foundation in corporate development on a small, high-visibility team. The person who takes it will need to be comfortable with ambiguity and with doing outreach that doesn't always get a response but will get exposure to the full arc of how deals and partnerships get built, with room to grow into greater ownership as they prove themselves. We're looking for someone who is motivated by relationship-building and deal-making and wants to learn corporate development by doing the work firsthand.
What You'll Do
Sourcing and relationship building
Build and maintain a pipeline of acquisition and partnership targets across PerfectServe's core and adjacent markets through proactive, off-market outreach
Cold call and cold email owners, founders, and executives at target companies to open relationships and gauge interest, and keep doing it even when most calls don't land
Find opportunities that don't come through conventional channels by digging into industry forums, conferences, trade associations, and online communities where smaller or less visible companies surface
Keep a disciplined, up-to-date view of every relationship in the pipeline: where it stands, what the next step is, and when to follow up
Represent PerfectServe at industry events and conferences to build the relationships that turn into future deal flow
Advancing the pipeline
Move prospects through the funnel: schedule and help run initial conversations, keep momentum after the first call, and know when and how to push a deal forward
Build models and analyses to support deal screening and synergy sizing
Support internal due diligence workstreams (commercial, financial, clinical/product, HR, technology) by organizing data requests, synthesizing findings, and flagging risks
Draft board and investor-ready materials
Help manage the mechanics of a live deal: data rooms, trackers, timelines, and coordination across internal and external workstreams
Partner acceleration
Maintain a structured view of PerfectServe's partner and channel relationships, including status, next steps, and owner
Prepare materials and briefing documents ahead of partner and leadership meetings
Support negotiation and documentation of partnership and referral agreements in collaboration with legal and the deal team
Help track and report on partnership performance against the commercial case that justified the relationship
Cross-functional and investor support
Work closely with the CEO, CSO, and functional leaders to gather input and keep strategic initiatives on track
Prepare board and investor-ready materials, including decks, one-pagers, and financial summaries
Serve as a reliable point of coordination between PerfectServe, K1, and outside advisors on live workstreams
What You'll Bring
2+ years of relevant experience, from investment banking, corporate development, sales, business development, or another role where you had to build relationships and move deals or prospects forward
A genuine comfort with cold outreach: you don't flinch at calling someone who doesn't know you yet, and you know how to turn a first call into a second one
A relationship-builder's instinct: you remember details about people, follow up without being asked, and build trust quickly
Competitive, persistent, and resilient; you can make fifty calls, get told no forty-five times, and show up just as sharp on the next one
Strong enough financial and analytical fundamentals to build a basic model or synthesize a diligence finding, with the willingness to sharpen those skills fast on the job
Excellent written and verbal communication; you can represent PerfectServe credibly to a founder, a banker, or a board member
Scrappy, resourceful, and low-ego: willing to do the unglamorous work because you know it's what moves the deal forward
High motivation and a genuine hunger to learn how acquisitions and partnerships actually get built, not just modeled
Experience or exposure to healthcare, healthcare IT, or SaaS is a plus but not required
