Essential Skills

Core Development

Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET Framework 4.7.2

Experience designing, developing and maintaining RESTful APIs

Strong understanding of JSON-based API design and integration

Excellent knowledge of object-oriented design and development principles

Experience working with multi-layered enterprise applications

Strong debugging, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Database Development

Strong experience working with Microsoft SQL Server

Ability to design, develop and optimize: SQL queries

Understanding of database performance tuning and query optimization

Experience working with large or business-critical data sets

Data Access & Application Architecture

Experience working with custom or proprietary data access layers

Understanding of data access patterns and application layering

Experience integrating with internal and third-party systems and services

API & Security

Strong understanding of: HTTP and HTTPS

REST principles

API versioning

Authentication and authorization concepts

Error handling and logging

Understanding of secure coding practices and application security principles

Engineering Practices

Experience using source control systems such as Git and Azure DevOps

Ability to write clean, maintainable and testable code

Experience conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback

Ability to contribute to technical design discussions and solution reviews

AI-Assisted Development

Experience using AI-assisted software development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Cursor or equivalent
