Assoc Product Manager

About the Role As you help deliver innovative financial products and experiences, you'll contribute to solutions that empower customers to take control of their financial future. Joining H&R Block as an Associate Product Manager means you'll support the delivery of customer-focused financial products within the Spruce platform. You'll work closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and delivery leaders to translate business priorities into actionable work, maintain healthy product backlogs, and help squads deliver high-quality features efficiently. Success in this role requires strong organization, attention to detail, collaboration, problem-solving skills, and a passion for learning product management in a fast-paced Agile environment. Spruce empowers customers to manage their money simply, securely, and confidently. Day to Day You'll... Support daily Agile and Scrum operations, including stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Facilitate team ceremonies and help ensure sprint commitments align with team capacity and priorities. Monitor sprint progress and proactively identify risks, blockers, dependencies, and delivery concerns. Escalate issues with clear context and recommended next steps to appropriate stakeholders. Help improve delivery predictability and team effectiveness. Partner with Lead Product Managers and Engineering Leads to translate roadmap priorities into detailed user stories. Create and maintain clear acceptance criteria that support successful delivery. Ensure stories meet the Definition of Ready prior to sprint planning. Maintain a healthy, prioritized backlog that supports squad goals. Required Qualifications Education: Associate’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience. Work Experience: Demonstrated decision making, analytical, and problem-solving skills Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Effective presentation skills to all levels, from senior management to line/staff associates. Experience using Microsoft Office tools Exploratory Data Analysis 1 year minimum related work experience Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize work in order to achieve critical deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Work Experience: Certified Scrum product owner Introduction to formal product management methodologies. Introduction to structured technology delivery/software development lifecycles. Local minimum wage laws apply. This information is posted pursuant to local requirements to provide applicants with information about what they might be eligible to receive. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed. Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan. Pay Range $34.52 - $51.78/Hr.
