Technical Expert – Avionics Validation & DO-160G Qualification Testing

Lead and execute RTCA DO-160G qualification and compliance testing for avionics and airborne electronic equipment. The role combines deep expertise in environmental, EMC, electrical, and reliability validation with customer-facing technical leadership to support aerospace product certification, qualification, and regulatory compliance programs.

The candidate will act as a subject matter expert for avionics validation activities, engage with aerospace customers, define validation strategies, execute qualification campaigns, troubleshoot failures, and support certification ready documentation.

• Avionics Validation & Qualification Testing

Test Planning & Compliance

Interpret customer, regulatory, certification and test plan requirements and translate them into measurement protocols

Hands-on Testing

Execute and supervise testing related to:

EMI EMC and Environmental tests

Analysis & Reporting

Prepare test reports

Drive first-pass success through robust validation planning.

• Customer Engagement & Technical Solutioning

Technical Consulting

Work directly with aerospace OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and certification agencies.

Support technical discussions during RFQs, proposals, and project kick-offs.

Develop Statements of Work (SoW), effort estimates, schedules, and quotations.

• Laboratory Excellence & Capability Development

Test Infrastructure

Define and improve avionics test capabilities.

Optimize test throughput, repeatability, and measurement accuracy.

Ensure compliance with quality systems and accreditation requirements.

Process Improvement

Standardize test methods and reporting formats.

Develop automation solutions for repeatable test execution.

Contribute to laboratory expansion and aerospace capability development.

Required Qualifications

B.E. / B.Tech in: Electronics & Communication Engineering

Electrical Engineering

Aerospace Engineering

3-6 years of experience in avionics validation, EMC testing, environmental testing, or aerospace qualification engineering.

Minimum 2 years of hands-on RTCA DO-160G testing experience .

Experience working with aerospace OEMs, avionics suppliers, or accredited test laboratories.

Technical Skills

Mandatory

Strong understanding of RTCA DO-160G requirements.

Knowledge of avionics architectures and airborne electronic systems.

Experience in environmental and EMC qualification testing.

Familiarity with aerospace compliance documentation.

Test planning, execution, failure analysis, and reporting expertise.
