Job description

Our Mission

You call. You wait. You call again. In every other part of your life, you book in seconds. In healthcare, you’re blocked.

We’re here to give power to the patient.

For nearly 20 years, we’ve built the leading healthcare marketplace - helping tens of millions of people find and book the care they need. Now, we’re going further: building our infrastructure beyond Zocdoc’s marketplace to power access to care wherever patients search, from provider websites and insurance directories to search engines, AI platforms, and more.

Healthcare still lacks something every other major consumer industry takes for granted: a seamless way to go from seeking to getting . We don’t want to own the front door to care; there isn't one. We want to make sure all of those doors open when patients are knocking.

Fixing healthcare starts with fixing access to it. And we're still just getting started.

Your Impact on our mission

Healthcare is too hard. At Zocdoc, we work every day to make it easier for patients to get the care they need.

As Senior Administrator, Financial Systems & Automation, you’ll help ensure that the systems supporting Zocdoc’s financial operations are reliable, secure, scalable, and easy to use. You’ll own the Finance Applications service experience from intake through resolution, serve as a hands-on NetSuite expert, and help improve the connected tools and processes that Finance and Accounting rely on every day.

This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys solving practical systems problems, improving how work gets done, and taking ownership from the first request through the final outcome.

You’ll enjoy this role if you are

Energised by owning a system, service queue, or project from beginning to end

Comfortable making thoughtful decisions when requirements are incomplete or priorities change

Motivated by turning ambiguous problems into clear next steps

Someone stakeholders trust for NetSuite guidance, issue resolution, and process improvement

Structured and consistent in your approach to SLAs, documentation, testing, and follow-through

Curious about automation and responsible uses of AI

Comfortable balancing speed, user experience, data integrity, security, and financial controls

Your day-to-day is

Own Finance Applications service delivery

Manage the Finance Applications Jira queue from intake and triage through prioritization, communication, escalation, resolution, validation, and closure

Track backlog, aging, blocked work, SLA risk, reopen rates, and recurring issues, taking action before commitments are missed

Clarify incomplete requests, set realistic expectations, provide proactive updates, and close the loop with requesters

Improve Jira Service Management workflows, dashboards, reporting, intake quality, knowledge articles, and escalation practices

Administer and improve NetSuite

Configure and support NetSuite workflows, approvals, roles and permissions, saved searches, reports, forms, and related functionality

Translate Finance and Accounting requirements into practical solutions that improve accuracy, control, scalability, and user experience

Investigate transaction, reporting, access, workflow, and integration issues and determine the appropriate resolution path

Coordinate sandbox validation, regression testing, release readiness, production deployment, and post-change verification

Maintain documentation for configurations, dependencies, operating procedures, and support guidance

Lead projects and continuous improvement

Manage financial-systems projects from discovery and requirements through planning, testing, implementation, rollout, and follow-up

Define outcomes, scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, owners, decisions, and next steps

Coordinate contributors across Finance, Accounting, FP&A, IT, Engineering, and external vendors

Identify blockers early, recommend practical paths forward, and escalate with context and a proposed decision

Deliver measurable improvements in reliability, efficiency, data quality, user experience, or control effectiveness

Strengthen automation, controls, and documentation

Identify repetitive, manual, or error-prone processes that can be improved through configuration, automation, controls, or clearer documentation

Investigate data mismatches, integration failures, and process breaks using reports, logs, testing, and root-cause analysis

Build or improve dashboards and operational reporting for service delivery, system health, project progress, and process performance

Follow change-management, access-management, segregation-of-duties, and audit-readiness practices

Maintain runbooks, knowledge articles, process documentation, testing evidence, and handoff materials

You’ll be successful in this role if you have

5+years of experience in financial systems, ERP administration, finance operations technology, or a related field

Strong hands-on NetSuite administration and configuration experience, including workflows, approvals, roles and permissions, saved searches, reporting, forms, and troubleshooting

Experience owning a service queue, ticketing process, or internal systems-support function against defined SLAs

Experience with Jira or Jira Service Management, including queues, workflows, dashboards, reporting, intake, escalation, or automation

Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects, coordinate stakeholders, and deliver results with limited day-to-day supervision

Strong analytical and root-cause problem-solving skills across systems, data, and business processes

Experience managing external vendor support cases with clear documentation, urgency, and follow-through

Experience with system testing, release management, change control, production validation, and operational documentation

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues and decisions to non-technical stakeholders

A track record of ownership, sound judgment, proactive risk escalation, and strong internal customer service

A bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience

Preferred qualifications

NetSuite Administrator certification

Experience with connected finance platforms such as Coupa, Planful, ADP, Salesforce, or banking systems

Experience translating business needs into requirements, action plans, decisions, and validation plans

Experience influencing without authority across Finance, Accounting, IT, Engineering, vendors, and distributed teams

Experience using automation or AI tools to improve finance operations, documentation, reporting, or user support

What success looks like

Finance Applications requests are visible, actively managed, and resolved against agreed service commitments

Requesters receive timely communication, clear expectations, and complete resolution documentation

NetSuite configurations and workflows are reliable, well governed, well documented, and aligned to business needs

Financial-systems projects move forward with clear ownership, decisions, milestones, and measurable outcomes

Recurring issues and manual work decrease through root-cause fixes, automation, and process improvements

Stakeholders trust you to make progress, navigate ambiguity, and escalate risks early
