Job description
Key Responsibilities Analyze business and functional requirements and identify test scenarios and test conditions. Design, create, execute, and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test data. Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing. Execute manual test cases and document test results, observations, and defects. Perform API testing to validate request/response, status codes, data, business logic, and error handling. Perform database testing and data validation using SQL queries. Validate data consistency between the application, API, and database. Perform Mobile Application Testing across different devices, OS versions, screen sizes, and application flows. Identify, document, track, and retest defects using tools such as Jira. Manage test cases, test cycles, execution results, and traceability using Zephyr or similar test management tools. Collaborate with developers and cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve issues. Participate in requirement discussions, sprint planning, refinement, daily stand-ups, and defect triage meetings. Ensure adequate test coverage based on product requirements and business scenarios. Develop and maintain automated test scripts for functional and regression testing. Identify suitable test cases for automation and contribute to improving automation coverage. Execute automated regression suites and analyze failures. Maintain automation scripts and update them based on application changes. Contribute to improving QA processes, test strategies, and overall testing efficiency. Provide regular updates on testing progress, risks, defects, and release readiness. Required Skills Manual Testing Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Experience in functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing. Good knowledge of test case design and test execution. Experience testing web applications and complex business workflows. Ability to analyze requirements and identify positive, negative, boundary, and edge-case scenarios. API Testing Hands-on experience with REST APIs. Experience using tools such as Postman, Bruno, Swagger, or similar tools. Good understanding of: HTTP methods – GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE HTTP status codes Request/response validation Headers and authentication JSON/XML API error handling Ability to validate API responses against database/application data. Database Testing Hands-on experience with SQL for data validation. Ability to write queries using: SELECT WHERE JOIN GROUP BY ORDER BY Aggregate functions Subqueries Experience validating application data against backend database records. Understanding of data integrity and consistency. Mobile Application Testing Hands-on experience testing Android and/or iOS applications. Experience validating mobile application functionality, UI, navigation, and user workflows. Knowledge of device/OS compatibility testing. Experience identifying and reporting mobile-specific defects. Defect & Test Management Experience using Jira for defect reporting and tracking. Experience with Zephyr, TestRail, or similar test management tools. Ability to create detailed defect reports with clear steps to reproduce, expected results, actual results, severity, and supporting evidence. Experience with defect lifecycle and retesting. Automation Testing Hands-on experience with at least one automation framework/tool such as: Playwright Selenium Cypress Appium Robot Framework Or equivalent automation frameworks Experience writing and maintaining automated test scripts. Understanding of automation framework structure and best practices. Experience creating automated regression suites. Ability to identify appropriate test cases for automation.
