Job Description – React Native Mobile Security Test Engineer Role Summary We are seeking a React Native Mobile Security Test Engineer to assess the security of cross-platform mobile applications developed using React Native. The role involves conducting one comprehensive round of security testing covering the OWASP Mobile Top 10 vulnerabilities before the application is deployed to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The engineer will identify security vulnerabilities, recommend remediation measures, and validate the fixes prior to production release. Key Responsibilities React Native Security Testing Perform security testing of React Native mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms. Assess the application against the OWASP Mobile Top 10 vulnerabilities. Validate the security of React Native-specific components, including JavaScript bundles, native modules, third-party libraries, and API integrations. Verify secure authentication, authorization, session management, secure data storage, and encrypted communication. Evaluate the application's resistance to reverse engineering, code tampering, and insecure data exposure. Document security findings with severity classification, reproduction steps, and remediation recommendations. Re-test identified vulnerabilities after fixes are implemented. Required Skills Experience in security testing of React Native applications. Strong understanding of the OWASP Mobile Top 10 vulnerabilities. Knowledge of React Native architecture, JavaScript runtime, native modules, and API security. Experience with mobile security testing tools such as: Burp Suite OWASP ZAP MobSF Charles Proxy / Proxyman Postman Ability to analyze security findings and provide actionable remediation recommendations. Deliverables React Native Mobile Security Assessment Report covering OWASP Mobile Top 10 vulnerabilities. Security defect report with severity classification and remediation guidance. Re-validation report confirming successful closure of identified security issues. Scope One round of security testing covering the OWASP Mobile Top 10 vulnerabilities. Re-validation of fixes implemented for identified security issues. Collaboration with development and QA teams to ensure production readiness. Engagement The engagement will be executed during the pre-release phase to ensure the React Native mobile application meets the required security standards before deployment to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
