Engineer - Strategic Sourcing Team (Import)

Job Description / Key Responsibilities: Complete knowledge and hands-on experience in import purchasing and global supply chain management (mandatory). End-to-end responsibility for PR–PO processing, delivery management, and supplier management. Ownership of OTD (On-Time Delivery), supplier collaboration, and issue resolution. Ability to analyse demand vs. supply and take proactive decisions. Procurement/ sourcing expertise from GIS Switchgear or Automobile or related sector. Strong negotiation skill on deliveries, communication, and problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of SAP / S4 HANA / SRM mandatory. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Supplier account reconciliation and follow-up. Familiarity with import procurement processes, logistics, customs activities, regulations, and compliance standards. Exposure to Global Supply Chain, BIS requirements, and Global Business Trade Agreements. Good understanding of the P2P (Procure-to-Pay) cycle. Requirements Educational Qualification Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Supply Chain / related field (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Automobile) MBA/ PGDBM/ PGDM in SCM (not compulsory) will be an added advantage Benefits 5 days Work Week: Work Monday through Friday and enjoy a full weekend off.
